Berlin, Germany
It was midday in Berlin, and Dr. Grobel was preparing to leave, and was speaking to Kane. "Stay on the line with me until you reach the waypoint. I have a car coming around and I'll be there in a few hours." He had a large luggage packed up, and was loading another with various weapons he had built in his apartment. He looked out the window and saw a man a block away, aiming an RPG directly at him. "Fick mich" the doctor thought to himself as he saw the red dot on his chest. As the rocket was launched, Albert stepped to the side as the explosive crashed through the window, and blew up the kitchen sink. Through the same window, five operatives swung in with zip-lines. They each carried automatic rifles and wore military-grade equipment. Hiding in the next room, Dr. Grobel pushed a button on his silicon wristband. The entire band pulsed green. He looked straight ahead where he saw his closet doors open to reveal a robotic exoskeleton suit. As the troopers stormed his bedroom, they aimed their guns at the doctor. He raised his hands in the air as the soldiers cuffed him behind his back. "C'mon please I had nothing to do with those Elites. Can we wait like...five seconds?" The operatives threw him onto the ground and one of them said "You're coming with us Doctor." Albert replied "Yeah I don't think so..." The mech suit in the closet sprang into action, slamming the Endgame agents into the wall. Albert jumped into the air, and swung the chain underneath his legs, and the mech deployed its blade and sliced the cuffs in two. He climbed into the cockpit and ran out of the bedroom. He rammed through the wall and started to make his way to the stairwell. "Valkerie: Have the Audi track my location." The display showed a small map in the far right corner as the computer replied "The A7 is following you now." The mech bolted down the hall to the stairwell door. The mech leaped over the railing and grabbed hold on the ledge a floor below it. Soldiers entered the stairwell shortly after and opened fire on the mech. One of the bullets blew a finger off the suit, and it crashed to the floor, with the doctor inside.
Many floors below, the Doctor was trying with all his might to get the mech upright again. With every test, the soldiers got closer and closer to the ground. "Valkerie: How far away is the car?" Albert asked. Valkerie's systems responded "The Audi A7 is about 20 feet away, outside those doors. Grobel kicked the door out of the suit and bolted for the door as bullets rained down. He opened the door at the bottom of the stairs and slid through the open passenger door of a silver sports sedan outside. "Get me out of here." Grobel said into the computer system. The gas pedal then floored itself and the car swerved in and out of traffic to get out of the city. McCane came back on the intercom, saying "I made it to the waypoint a few minutes ago but lost your signal." Albert replied "Easy kid. I'm on the road now. But we need to cut off our signals before Endgame tries to find us again." The Doctor then reached into the glove compartment in the car and touched a tiny metal case. He pulled the case out, and unplugged it from the computer. He then proceeded to toss the tracker out the window."
Funafuti, Tuvalu
Zariah was loading up all her belongings to escape as everyone else was. Instead of being in her snowy oasis, she was packing up her small apartment. She was putting her bags through the doorway to her bedroom when there was a banging on the door. "FBI OPEN UP!!!" the men outside yelled. She turned on her police radio, but heard nothing. In an instant she knew what was going on. She grabbed one suitcase and grabbed her communicator.
As the door burst open she ran through the doorway. As soon as she came out on the other side, she closed the gateway, trapping herself in the middle of nowhere.
Meanwhile in Tuvalu, Endgame operatives ransacked Winlock's apartment searching for any trace of her. She vanished without a trace, with every record of her existence. "There's nothing here. Just a vacant apartment." The soldier said. Kaiser replied on the intercom "That is unlikely. Her communicator gives off this exact location." The soldier replied "Then her communicator must be wrong." The soldiers left very quickly, and couldn't help but feel sheepish for all the security only to lead to a dead end.
