The bell rang, signifying the end of lunch. We both stood up amd made our way out of the cafeteria. I felt a hand touch my back. I turned to see Mr. Baldi's hand on my back. I looked up at him. He looked down at me with sad eyes, but a pleading smile. "I hope you don't mind." He said quietly. I smiled. "Not at all, Baldi." His smile grew. I'm so happy that he's back to normal. I really hope it stays this way. I don't want to leave this school. I don't want to leave Baldi.
We made it back to the classroom. He held the door open for me, and I thanked him. We both made our way to our desks, sitting down. Baldi smiled at me. "If you'd like to go home, you're free to." I shook my head. "I don't mind staying here." His smile grew slightly. He began to clean the papers on his desk. I decided to start a small coversation with him. "So what do you do outside of school?" His eyes widened as he tensed up. "O-outside of school?" He looked up at me, clearly trying to hide the expression of fear that was plastered onto his face. Why is he so nervous? What the hell does he do outside of school? He quickly put a smile on his face. "Oh, not much really. I go.. Home.. And relax. I just wait for another school day." There's something off about what he just said. The way he paused before saying 'home', the nervousness, something. I can't just ask him though. What if he gets angry again? I smiled. "That's great that you're so invested in your work you enjoy coming here. Not many people can say they enjoy their job." A big smile came across his face. "Well with an amazing student such as yourself, of course I enjoy coming back here. I not only enjoy my job, but I enjoy seeing you." His face turned pink. It was hardly noticable, but still noticable. Was he flirting? No, of course not. He's a teacher. Teachers don't hit on their students. I smiled. "I enjoy coming here too. It's always nice to see you." Great, now I'm doing it. His face turned a bit darker pink.
A knock at the door interupted us. The door opened to reveal the principal of the thing. "Baldi, I wanted to talk to you about-" he looked up. "Oh, ____________, you're still here." He sounded a bit surprised. Baldi stood up. "Ah, yes, we were just discussing math. We can speak in the faculty if you'd like." The principal nodded. Baldi turned to me. "_____________, I'll be back in just a moments time. Feel free to either stay in here or wander the halls." I nodded. "Alright, Mr. Baldi." He smiled and left the room, closing the door behind him. Was he flirting with me? Was I flirting with him? No, no of course not. It was casual conversation.
Baldi's P.O.V
"So what did you want do discuss?" I asked the principal as soon as my door closed. The principal began making his way down the hall, me following him. "Baldi, have you told _____________ the reason they're the only one here?" I shook my head. "No, I told them they were the only student who needed summer school. They do seem suspicious though." He sighed. "I figured as such."We entered the faculty room, sitting down at the tables near by. The principal sighed. "Baldi, we have another problem." I sighed. "Is it about the punishments?" He nodded. "_____________ will find out sooner or later. We both know you can't control it." I swallowed my saliva hard. "W-What if I tell her the truth? Then they can leave and-" he cut me off. "And they can report this and have this school shut down." I began to fiddle with my hands. "What if I just don't tell them?" He sighed. "It will come out eventually, you know that. By the end of the month, they're going to be six feet under the school." I tensed up and began to shake. "So, what are you saying?" He looked at me, a saddened expression on his face. "Either you need to punish them and get them to leave on their own, or you can keep them here, but by the end of the month-" I cut him off. "I'll kill them.." He sighed. "You need to make a decision, Baldi." I looked down. "What if I control myself?" He shook his head. "We both know you can't do that." I can't hurt ___________, but I don't want them to leave. I stood up. "I have to try." The principal sighed. "Their blood is on your hands, Baldi."
I left the faculty room and made my way back to my classroom. I don't want them to go, but I don't want to harm them.
Your P.O.V
I rested my head on my arms. Where is Mr. Baldi? I looked up at his desk. His papers were still scattered. I sighed. I thought back to my first day. The big smile on his face, the way he lead me to class, it was all so cute. I froze. What am I thinking? He's my teacher! I can't think of my teacher like that.I heard the door open. I turned around to see Baldi walk in. I smiled. "Took you long enough!" I joked. He lightly laughed. "I'm sorry about that, ___________. I'm sure you've been bored." I shrugged. He leaned on my desk. "If you want to go, you're more than welcome." I smiled. "Sure, thanks Baldi!" His smile grew a bit. "Not a problem! Let me walk you out." He placed his hand on my back and lead me to the door. He waved goodbye to me as I left. I pulled out of the parking lot and made my way home. I need to get these thoughts under control. I can't be thinking of my teacher in such a manner. It's only been a week, and he's my teacher! It's completely inappropriate!
