The car drove in front of the house that is said to be our new home , it's a duplex . The outer layer of the house is brown , I don't like it , it doesn't suit me , as if she sensed how uneasy I look,
"It's going to be okay", she sounds unhappy also , this so called riverside we are in, prepare for .... Haha who was I kidding this place won't know I exist .
I went in to the heading straight to find my room and when I entered , I saw the most beautiful thing , my room was already set the way I like it no other colour just black and white , maybe living here won't be a bad idea .
It didn't take my mum and I much time to put everything in place . I had to go downstairs to get a snack ,the kitchen was amazing, I mean the foodstuffs, I love food , I was interrupted by mum "honey , we need to talk" . I went over to the couch taking her question in, "ok , I'm all ears" now I have gotten myself into a never ending speech.
" won't you like to know how your father died? " "what's the use , he's dead " even though I really want to know. Sigh, I'm too stubborn. I think she's not going to hear anything I have to say "he had an accident "
"Oh ok" seriously she thinks I'll fall for that , my dad takes his time to drive , he can't have an accident , I'll have to find out myself , I love him more than my mum so he will always be my 2nd priority ,1st is school , thinking of school
"Mum, when am I resuming school? "
She was taken back by my question "oh , tomorrow,it's Riverside High, you will love it" . I pray so.

I woke by an alarm, only God knows how it got there. I prepared for school , when it was time for the dressing part , I was confused , I just wore my usual, jeans , sneakers, crop top and jacket and I assume you know the colour .
I rushed down the stairs to eat breakfast. "Mia , be nice when you get there". " I am nice" . she scoffed , "what? You don't think I'm nice, wow, Riverside my mother doesn't think I'm nice well mum you don't deserve to be called mother" . I left without looking back .
I went to the bus stop , waiting , the bus came , immediately i entered , when we got to school , i was shocked , it was a big school . i went over to the security "sir, how will i get.... " as if he knew what i was about to ask "you are new right? Just go straight, you will see an office , enter , she will give you all the information you need " "thank you" maybe this school won't be bad after all.
I went to the office , she gave me a map, time table and my locker number , i thanked her and left . The time table says I'm having literature now , so i used the map to locate my class , when i got there class was kind of full but no teacher .
I entered trying to look for an empty seat ignoring the stares I'm getting from all the students,the only empty seat i saw was beside a girl which i liked the way she looked , she had this i don't care attitude just like me .
So , i went for the seat , sigh , "i hate people" which cost me a stare from the girl " i hate people too, I'm Mitchelle" i like her "I'm Mia "
She was about to say something before the teacher entered , to my surprise she smiled , i gave her back . The teacher voice came up "it seems we have, a new student here" i stood up immediately "well yes , I'm Mia Richardson " Everyone was surprised except for Mitchelle , she was just smiling "oh, welcome to Riverside High " and he went back to teaching , i had other classes some with Mitchelle and some alone .
It was lunch time and i heard someone call my name , i looked back and saw a happy Mitchelle, she started blabbing "I'm so happy, i met u " i smiled "me too"
I was taken back by her response "let's be friends " what , i have never had a friend and now I'm having one , wow, "ok"
She dragged me into the cafeteria and was heading to a table and we sat down "don't you have any friends" i asked "No" she smiled "wow, me too" she started laughing, which was drawing attention of some students to our table "don't worry , we are now best friends " and i whispered "i don't think it works that way and we started laughing.
Then when it was closing , Mitchelle and i went our separate ways . So i started running to where i was supposed to wait for my mum and i bumped into someone, i tried to move away from the body but it wasn't letting me i had to move back to see the nuisance .
To my surprise , i saw a guy , tall, well built , handsome and he had ocean eyes , i was interrupted by his harsh tone " when you are done checking me out , tell me because I'm waiting for a sorry ",i rolled my eyes, " then why don't you wait here , while i go home" i pushed past him and left .
I saw my mum's car driving towards me , i entered and she started driving . "Mum,i made a new best friend" but she didn't answer me , i was getting angry until i remembered this morning, so i didn't say anything until we got home .
I went to my room immediately , took a shower and wore a baggy shirt and shorts and i reached for my bag so as to do my assignments when i felt my phone vibrate , i picked it up and saw it was a text from Mitchelle .
Mitchelle 💯: hey, no school tomorrow
Me: why?
Mitchelle 💯: idk, but it was announced so I'm coming over tomorrow, we have many things to talk about , ttyl 😘
Me: ok bye lol
This girl is really funny , but she wants to talk to me about what?
