Working for Mr. Bennington

Court part 2

Chester's pov:

We went back inside and I took the stand. The judge comes back and she looks at me and smile. 

"Mr. Bennington." she nods at me and smiles. I just slightly smile back.

"Lets start Harvey." she says and Harvey comes to me. 

"Mr. Bennington how long have you and Emma been dating?"

"A year and a month. We're engaged now actually." 

"So I heard. Tell me has Jason bothered Emma when you guys started dating?" Harvey asks.

"Yes he has. He took advantage of her on her 21st birthday."

"By taking advantage of her, what do you mean Mr. Bennington?" 

"She was drunk and he kept touching her even when she told him many times to stop and tried to push him away."

"I see. So he tried to rape her? Is that right?"

"Yes. That's correct." 

"Okay. So Emma has told me that Jason broke into your house and tied you, Mike Shinoda, Madison Cooper, Samantha Dawson and Edward Johnson up. Is this correct?"

"Yeah. Emma tried to knock him out to safe us. But she didn't succeed. He got up and he wanted to shoot her. But I jumped in front of her so he shot me instead."

"I see. Why did Jason do this?"

"He wanted Emma." 

"I see. So he was after Emma?"

"I just said that. He was obsessed with her."

"I see. Thank you for your time Mr. Bennington."

I nod and he shows me I can go back to my seat. I went back and sat down and my dad comes in the court room.

"Why are you in here?" The judge asks.

"I have to show you this." my dad says and he holds up a video.

She nods and he puts it in the machine. He takes the remote and turns to the jury.

"I need you all to see this. This proofs everything that Ms. Johnson said is true. Thank my son for being one of the most famous people in America." my dad says and he press the button and the video plays. It was the video of our attack. The first time Jason attacked us. The one that was on the news. He stops the video after it was done and he turns to the judge. I see Harvey gets a huge grin on his face.

"I see." the judge says. I looked at Emma and she looks at me. She shrugs her shoulders at me. And I shrugged too.

"Ms. Johnson. You are free to go. All charges will be dropped against you and this case will go out as self defense and not as murder. You can get your things at the station and someone can pick you up in an hour after you have signed all the paperwork. This case is now closed." she says and she gets up and leaves.

I jumped up. "Yes!" I yell. Harvey turns to me and he smiles. Emma chuckles and she takes a deep breathe in and let it out. I run up to her and I hugged her. She hugs me back tight.

"It's over..." She says. I hold her face in my hands. And I smiled at her.

"It's over baby girl. You're free." 

"This is great...." she sighs out and smiles. She had tears in her eyes. I hugged her tight. 

My dad comes to me and he taps me on my shoulder. I let Emma go. Emma takes his hand. 

"Thank you so much." she says.

"You're welcome Emma." My dad says. I hugged my dad.

"Thank you dad." my dad hugs me back.

"You're welcome."

We let go and my dad takes Emma's hand.

"You can ride with me to the station." he says to her. She nods and she smiles.

He takes her cuffs off and he shows her to go with him.

"I see you at the station baby." she says and she walks with my dad. 

I went back to the others and I hugged Mike. I sighed out a breathe of relief.

"It's over buddy." he says hugging me back. Harvey taps me on the back. I let go off Mike and turn to him.

"I'll see you at the station." he holds out his hand to me.

"Thank you so much." I meet his hand. He smirks and he nods and he leaves. 

"Lets go get your fiance bud." Mike says smiling at me.

We left the court and went outside. Lilly hugged me before we get in the Jeep. 

"I'm glad to see you smiling again." she says. She lets me go and I chuckled.

"Get in Lilly. You're cooking tonight." I said smiling at her. She nods and chuckles. She gets in and I do too. We went to the station and waited for Emma.
