CHAPTER TWO
SEE YOU LATER

THE PAST TWO DAYS HAD been lived up just to what Finn said at the night of the announcement.

Let's make the most out of it.

Finn and Millie and been spending every hour, and every minute together. He had dinner with Millie's family, and Millie and dinner with his family. They watched all of their favourite movies, and cuddled, savouring every moment.

And now, they're spending every last second together.

"Boarding for Flight 6A To New York." A booming voice spoke through the speaker.

Millie shifted in her place awkwardly, fighting the threatening tears. She had much more to say, the past few days just wasn't enough to express it. With all the words in her head, all she could say was: "Don't go."

Finn sighed, holding her hands, she looked away, because she knew if she looked into his eyes, she'd probably change her mind, and go with him unplanned.

"I'll miss you so much, Peaches." He brought her hands to his mouth and pecked her knuckles. At this point, Millie couldn't stand it, and lost herself to tears, as she jumped to Finn and hugged him. She sobbed as she held him tighter.

"Last call for Flight 6A."

Millie enveloped his lips into a kiss, she treasured every feeling. But most of all, the feeling of him.

That feeling washed away when Finn pulled away. "Good bye, love." Millie whispered.

"Don't say that. Just call it a... see you later."

Millie looked down and chuckled. "Let me correct myself," She perked up just to see Finn dashing away.

"SEE YOU LATER, LOVE!"

Millie yelled, earning a few stares from people. She looked away, feeling bashful. It took all of her might not to run up to Finn, get him onto a luggage cart and run out of this airport.

As she escapes the eyes of the crowd, she hugs herself. Feeling a deep feeling of melancholy, that Finn couldn't do that anymore.

God Millie, he's only been gone for a few minutes yet you're here acting like he's been gone for years.

Though to her, it sure did feel like it. For time slowed when Finn left, she saddest hours seemed longer without him.

. . .

Once Millie arrived at home, she hadn't spoke a single word. Not even her usual greeting to her parents, and a kiss on the cheek for Ava.

It was as if she was mute.

Paige immediately sensed something went wrong. She trotted upstairs and arrived at Millie's bedroom, closed... she twisted the door knob, and locked.

"Mills?"

No answer.

"It's Paige. Let's have a talk?"

"No thank you." Millie's voice says from inside.

"I'll make that ginger tea you like so much! Please, Millie. You haven't been yourself today."

"Fine. Just, bring in the tea first." Millie ordered.

Paige came back with two warm cups of ginger tea. She sighed and knocked on Millie's door. "I'm back and with the tea."

Hastily, the door swung open. Revealing Millie in her worst state; low pony tail, pink robe- Paige knew it too well.

"Oh, Mills. What happened?" Paige coos, her eyes full of pity, her voice low with concern.

"Finn. He left for New York today." Millie grabs a cup from her older sister's hands. The two sisters sat down.

"You miss him?" Paige asked. Millie looked down and took a sip of the tea, her taste buds embracing the sweet flavour. "Sorry, stupid question. Anyways- how are you holding up?"

"Not so good- you can tell. I just want my boy back. I know it seems like I'm overreacting but, this is the start of the long- and I repeat long time of being separated from him. And I feel terrible without him, Paige. And knowing that I'm going to feel like this for a long time makes me- UGH! Makes me want to bawl." Millie rants, sipping again from the ginger tea.

"I know I can't do anything to get him back, but you never know, he could be calling any-"

Ring, Ring! Ring, Ring!

Millie snatches the phone off her desk. The contact name read 'F.W.' With the pink heart emoji beside it. Millie's mood was altered as she excitedly picked it up. Paige raised a brow at her and shook her head, with a small grin on her face.

"I'll get going." Paige informs Millie, who thanks her. As soon as her sister leaves, Millie answers the call.

"Finnie baby! How are you? Tell me everything!"

"Hi, Peaches. Missed 'ya. Well, we're about to go on in a few. Been busy as heck since I landed. I hope you're doing okay, Millie." Finn whispered onto the phone.

"Why!" Millie chuckled nervously. "I'm doing just dandy! More than fine actually..." she breathed out.

"Now that I get to talk to you."
