Shayne's POV

I was in the house doing my final touches on my design. Tomorrow was going to be a big day I was going to perform with Jayden and Jess the song by one direction You and I and then Kaytela would perform with Daniel. The nerve!!!! Jayden was still not home and I guessed he was with Jessica. Something was going on with the two of them and of course I was happy for them but the way Jess behaved today most especially with Damon I knew my brother was hurt.

The door opened and Jayden came and I could already tell he was angry okay more of being hurt.

"what's wrong bruh?" I asked him as I followed him to his room.

"am fine Shayne go and prepare for tomorrow you have a long day" he said avoiding my look but I could see from the corner of his eyes he looked hurt

"don't give me that crap Jay" I said swaying him to me till his eyes met with mine as he swallowed a big lump "tell me what is wrong did you and Jess fight or something?"

Still there was no answer but I saw that look that tells he Is trying to fight the pain

"Come on broh you know you can tell me?"

He looked at me for sometime before he spoke "I should have gone to Jess and that girl's table it should have been me and not Damon"

"is this what this is all about" I looked at him as he nodded his head "Jay we both know if it was that easy you would have gone without a question so stop blaming yourself"

"but its been almost seven years I should be over it shouldn't i? I mean am Jayden of kaytela" hardening his fist "damn it!! Why do I always mess"

"look at me Jayden, look at me " and once I got hold of his eyes "it was not your fault you hear me? Even Jayden of kaytela has a heart and this cause of your trauma from the past couldn't allow you so its not your fault did you tell Jess"

"tell her what? You think she would listen?"

"about your past she should know am sure if she knew she would understand"

"I couldn't. She was too mad! Damn it! Why does Damon always have to be there when am not?"

"you should tell her"

"are you serious? I should tell the girl I love that I was bullied all my life and my ex lover Tiffany is the one who helped me become who I am? What do you think she will say?"

"she loves you Jayden and you of all people know that she is a very nice person behind the scary person she projects"

"I cant I just cant you know the other day when we were,,,,,,,,,,,,,," he posed before looking at me

"when you were what Jayden?"

"okay I need to tell you this but promise you wont tell anyone else"

"Jess and I are together but we want to keep it a secret for the time being "

"I kinda figured anyway when you were?"

"when we were kissing she said something" trying to remember "she asked me "where were you? And that day she was very weird I think she knows something about that night"

"how? Who could have told her?"

"I don't know Shayne but what I know is that if I don't tell her the truth soon she will just repeat what Tiffany did to me and I cant let that happen. I swear I have never loved a girl like this before and the way she looked at me today like some kind of monster, damn I cant even get rid of that image I feel so bad Shayne"

"I know how hard it is to you to talk about the past and I wont force you to tell her but I think she needs to know why you didn't help her today,,,,,,,,,,,, Jess is an amazing person and she is very bright to do mistakes like Tiffany and one think that you are forgetting Jay is that Jessica and Tiffany are two people with very different ways of thinking stop comparing them you are just hurting yourself"

"that's the problem Shar" he said with balancing tears on his eyes " Tiffany is the reason behind who I am today and as much as I love Jess I still cant forget Tiffany and it sucks a lot"

Bring him into a hug I already knew how much Tiffany hurts him and I know as much a he loves Jess you know what they say first love never really dies and in this case Tiffany transformed the shy young boy into the bold strong Jayden we have today

"okay the broh get some sleep we are going to take one step at a time,,,,,, baby steps" bringing his face to meet mine "I believe in you and Jess and I am going to help you so stop blaming yourself and sleep I got you and we got this okay?"

"thanks Shayne"he said as he wiped off the balancing tears "I didn't know I can still cry" he said laughing

"you can be the dream boy of every girl in school but you are still my brother whom we cried together throughout our lives and we have gone through a lot but with each other there is nothing we wont overcome" smiling as I put my hand forward "just like old times"

Putting his hand forward "we are in this together" as we laughed " anyway tomorrow you are wearing a suit hope you remember "

"arghhh!!!!!!!!!! Damn this exclusive party anyway its okay"

After that I texted Jess

you shouldn't have said what you said to him
