Am answering some of the questions mostly or frequently asked,,,,,,,,,,, not all of them but I hope it covers almost all questions if not all that are asked
What is your real name and where are you from?
Okay my real name is Grace and the rest am not sure even some of you will be able to pronounce but let me just say them Wangechi Nyamu. I used Natalia because I really really love the name and I think its cute. Am from Africa a country called Kenya and when I say this many people think am lying but that is the truth I am Grace from Nairobi, Kenya proudly African.
How in the world did you think of such a storyline?
(laughing) I am not sure how to answer anyway I love music so much and i always dreamed about writing about music. Also I don't know how to explain but I remember I was on a hospital bed and I just thought of my life and everything that was happening and decided I needed a venue where I would shut out the reality completely and try write about another world that is so far away from mine to keep me occupied and moving and like fate had it. It really worked for me the more I wrote the more ideas came into my head
Do you have any other books?
In terms of been published this is actually my second book I have another one called Unsighted and if you love fiction in terms of movies like shadowhunters, teen wolf etc then that's the book for you but its not yet complete but am working on it. But as Lukreshanataly I got a whole lot of books that am looking forward to bring on wattpad only that there is this factor of time and it becomes so tricky to balance,family, school and wattpad.
Were you inspired by anything like real life examples or is it purely imagination?
At some point yes at some point no. Jessica's background how broke she was but in school maintained a normal life and acted like everything was okay was my life back in highschool and people would see me and my family and think that everything is okay this is a girl from a very good background but truth was I was avery unhappy girl throughout highschool in terms of family background. Also the bullying aspect in my country bullying inst like in America but its in terms if how people talk about you and as much as people pretend it really affects someone psychology and I was like that I acted like I really didn't care about what people said but truth was it really hurt me deep down and I would really cry sometimes myself to sleep and then following morning act like everything is okay. But then just like Jayden he got friends who helped me through I got three friend s who became a part of me and brightened my high school days. The celebrity part I was watching some documentary from one direction and Shawn mendes and I just realized that behind the glamour they faced a lot of problems and so I decided to put in my book and maybe relate to real life stars and one very big celebrity whose name I wont mention told me that all that I wrote about celebrity life was true but no one sees behind the glamour and ofcourse now there is the imagination part and that's how I came up with the whole package.
Where do you get all that music from?
Something I love more than anything else apart from God, family and close friends is MUSIC and everything to do with it dance, rap name it all. I have like thousands of songs on my laptop and every week I delete songs in my phone and by next week there past a 100. So it wasn't that hard in fact I had so many songs I wanted to put on this book from country, to rock, hip hop , pop soul all the way to gospel but was not able to so yeah from my library.
Can you sing?
I don't know how to answer that. When I ask my best friend if I can sing she laughs at me but when I send a voice note she is like damn girl you can sing so I don't know but I would love to believe I can because am seeing myself acting as Shayne in the next Netflix hit series Spring Change Mode (just joking but also a prayer)
Who is your favourite artist?
This is one of the hardest questions you can ever ask me like literally its like asking me between Anna todd and Isabel Ronin whose better. I love so many singers and bands like I listen to a lot of one direction and pray everyday a miracle will happen and they get back together. Also I listen to a lot of Demi Lovato, One republic, Hunter Hayes, James Reid, Camilla Cabello, Khalid, Little mix, maroon five, Ellie Goulding, The vamps, Ed-sheeran goodness!!!! Like literally everyone Nick Jonas, Jessie J, Bebe Rexha, florida Georgia line, Reuben Gray, Post Malone, James Bay I cant finish this list . But am in love with Shawn Mendes I think am obsessed with his music and also Jess Glynne. This two musicians make me awe with their lyrics I mean how do you think like that? If I eve meet any of them to me that will be like a dream come true. The list is so so long and if I list all of them we might as well end our FAQ here.
Do you believe in everything you write
First and foremost am a Christian and I acknowledge that there is a God up in heaven. But then again am the kind of person who doesn't tell you what to do with your life I just advice and you make your decision and if that's what you want I support fully. So some of the things in this books like Homosexuality I felt bad that people judge this guys so harshly and there is nothing wrong with them. They are just people like you and me who made their decisions and no matter what you think is right or wrong no one in this world had the right to make someone feel uncomfortable just because they don't fit your definition of what Is right. So I might not believe in them but I don't think we have a right to judge anyone harshly it what they are and who they are and we need to support them irregardless if we think they are right or wrong.
Has Spring been posted anywhere else apart from wattpad?
No absolutely not and if there is they don't have my consent and that's a crime. So please if you see it anywhere else apart from wattpad please tell me immediately because that is what we call piracy
What are you working on currently?
Right now am focused on finishing my other book as I proofread this one. Also I want to make more friends on wattpad and find new inspiration so for a while I will just be reading books and commenting also I'll be reviewing a lot of book request from you guys and I hope to get back to each and everyone of you. But am working on two projects that I will be sharing after finishing Unsighted and the reviews so yeah.
Is there any sequel
People are asking me for this since I started talking about the season finale and yes there is infact two. I wont disclose as of now but when I do will make you know and its going to be bigger and much more better than anything I have done so far. Let me give you a hint there is Shayne there is Chad there is Taylor and there is Cassandra so I leave it to your Imagination.
Last words to all of you
Writing spring has been life changing and something I have never experienced before. I was going through a lot for the past few months and luckily I found wattpad and through my stories I got friends and family that made my life have a sense of belonging. There was a time that I was feeling so lost and I felt like I wanna die but when I thought of my readers I just got hope and continued writing.
