The alarm clock rang disturbing my beautiful sleep. I put off the alarm and got up. It's 8 O'clock.

Oops!! How I can forgot that today is my interview? Only one hour left for my interview. I have to hurry to get ready so that I can reach on time.

I got ready quickly. I wore a white shirt with a black plain skirt fitted pefectly to my body. I need to look perfect today. I looked at the mirror to have the last glance at myself. I took my bag and files and proceeded down to the hall. I saw my dad smiling at me.
"Good Morning, my child." Dad greeted.

"Good Morning dad, why didn't you wake me up? Today is my interview and I am getting late."

"I know Kaira, but your health is more important than anything. Remember yesterday you fainted in the party. So we allowed you to sleep more."

"Dad, I am fine now. I need to go for this interview. I don't want to lose this opportunity of working in one of renowed company."

"Yeah Kaira, Go for the interview. No one is stopping you. But please have your breakfast first."

"But dad, I have to go." I protested.

"No Kaira, you are going nowhere before having the breakfast." My mom spoke, who I missed sitting besides my dad.

I know I can't argue with her now. I sat on the chair. My mom made Aloo Paratha today. It was yummy. No one can compare her food. She is the best chef of the world. (A/N: Aloo paratha - an Indian dish made by stuffing potatoes in the flour roti.)

I had my breakfast and took blessing from my parents

I had my breakfast and took blessing from my parents. I hope today I get the job. Dad gave me his car keys. Now I can drive fast and reach there on time. I hope so....

After some times.....
I reached finally to my location. I parked my car. I know, I know not my car, my dad's car. I ran towards the door of the building. The building is actually the company's building. It is dilapidated, but since it is renovated it looks pristine. I opened the door and entered inside. I stepped towards the receptionist.

"Excuse me, I am Kaira Mehra and here for the interview. Can you just guide me where I should go?" I asked the receptionist, who was busy in her work.

"Yes Ma'am, I'll check. Wait a minute." She said with a broad smile and I nodded.

The woman must in early 30s. She is beautiful, but not more than her smile. Even when responded she smiled at me. Me, who is actually unknown to her.

"Ma'am, you are 10 minutes late. Our boss hate latecomers. When your number was called, you were missing. I don't think he will give you any chance." The lady informed me with solicitude.

"Please Miss..." I stopped being incognizant of her name.

"Mrs. Maria" She answered my unsolicited question.

"Mrs. Maria, please do something. Give me one more chance. Can you please talk to your boss?" I pleaded.

"Okay I'll talk to sir, but I am extremely not sure whether he will agree or not." She imparted for which I just nod my head.

She took the phone and called someone, probably the boss. I can't hear what she is saying and I didn't even try to eavesdrop as it is execrable. I became edgy as the minutes passing by.

What if I lose this job?

What if I lose this job?

Mrs. Maria looked at me and said with equanimity, "You are lucky, Miss. Mehra. Sir is willing to give you a chance. He still didn't attain the desired employee. May be because of that he gave you this opportunity. You have to wait till all the interviews of others are done. Till then you can take a seat."

"Thank you Mrs. Maria." I jumped gleefully, but my mouth fell open embrassed as I perceived that everyone was staring at me for my abrupt act, including Mrs. Maria.

"Sorry." I whispered and sat on the chair with other interviewee. After half an hour, interviews of others were finished.

"Miss. Mehra, now please go straight and enter the last left room. Sir is taking interview over there. All the best." Mrs. Maria apprised me the way to the boss's cabin.

"Thank you Mrs. Maria."

I thanked her and advanced towards my destiny, hoping to get this job. I don't know why, but I feel like this interview will change my life forever. I took a deep breath trying to avoid the surge of anxiety.
