KAIRA POV

We are sitting on the sofas of the hall in Professor Saxena's house. Professor Saxena served tea and placed infront of us.

"So, what do you exactly wanted to know from me?" Professor Saxena asked sipping his tea.

"We heard from Mr. Singh that you stayed in the mansion for 15 days. I am currently residing there with my family. I perceived the mansion is haunted. I wanted to get out of this mess. We need your help, sir." I said in a pleading tone.

"You know the mansion is haunted and still you're residing in it. Why? The only way to get out of this mansion is to leave it. Go somewhere and never look back at the mansion." Professor Saxena said loudly.

"Even I thought the same thing, Professor Saxena. That time my brother wasn't ready to leave it. Then I realized even if I leave the mansion, problem won't be solved. After our dismiss, some other family will come. They might suffer like everyone who stayed earlier before us. Moving out of the mansion and staying out of this problem was actually the best way to get out of trouble, but it won't help, since the mansion is also related to my past."

"Your past?" Professor Saxena asked surprisely.

I then explained him how the mansion is connected to our past, everything starting from me being the Princess Sarswati and Neil being Prince Yuvraj till our deaths.

He did looked shocked, but I guess he believed my words. It was difficult for someone to believe in our story of rebirth or reincarnation. Who believes in such things in the 21st century? Fortunately the person who believes in supernatural powers and paranormal activities will obviously believes in the unexpected, unbelievable, dramatic story with history and past revolving around it. And as expected he believed it.

"The problem looked more complicated to me. You are staying in the mansion and he didn't harmed you, means he wanted something from you. He is waiting for a right turn to attack." Professor Saxena stood from sofa and said.

"We know that sir. He wants to achieve Kaira for which he failed in our previous birth." Neil said.

"He knows that my family is my biggest weakness. He had even tried to harm my family. First my brother met with accident, then my mother is been possessed." I further added.

"First your mother should be free from possession. Do you know how harmful it can be if someone is possessed?" Professor Saxena asked calmly.

I looked at Neil and then looked at the professor. I shook my head; I actually had no idea what happens when someone is possessed.

Understanding my state, Professor Saxena replied, "Do you even know that your mother is not the only one to be possessed?"

"What do you mean?" I asked not understanding what he meant.

"The mansion doesn't have only one ghost. Don't forget that many people died in that mansion." Professor Saxena explained.

'Does that mean that besides King Sooraj Pratap Singh Rathore, there are others ghosts residing in the mansion', I thought.

"Yes, there are more than one ghost, including the king." Professor Saxena reading my mind.

I was shocked and so did Neil.

I was living in the mansion with so many ghosts.

Does that mean the woman I saw sweeping was also ghost?

Oh My God, am I dreaming?

What to do now?

"Professor Saxena, what does that mean that Kaira's mom is not the only one to be possessed?" Neil asked breaking my thoughts.

"As I told you the mansion has other ghosts, who once were living in it when alive. These ghosts are not that strong enough to fight the powerful king. King Sooraj Pratap Singh Rathore possessed them and took control of their soul. Have you ever seen any ghost besides the king?"

"Yes, I had seen only lady twice, sweeping the floor; one in my dream and one in the mansion. After that I didn't see her."

"She must be Mr. Agnihotri's maid who died."

"Mr. Singh never mentioned that." I said.

"Mr. Singh knows only about people who resided, not the one who worked in the mansion."

"Are those ghosts threat to us?" I asked being little scared.

"No, but the king became more powerful after controlling the souls. The souls are innocent, they need to get free from the cruel king." Professor Daxena cleared my doubts.

"What should we do?" Neil asked.

"We need to destroy the root of the cause. We need to defeat the king." Professor Saxena holding his hands against his chest.

"How it is possible?" I asked.

"His soul should get mukti (liberation after death) and that's possible if his body should be creatmated."

"What do you mean? Isn't is body creamated?" I asked learning the new information.

"Unfortunately it is not. According to Hindu rituals, it is believed that after the death of a person, his body should be cremated and not buried. I am sure you will be shocked to know that the dead body is buried in the same mansion in which you residing."

"What?" Neil and I said in unison.

"Where it must be buried?" I asked and the terror can be seen in my eyes.

"Guess which part of the mansion King Sooraj is more conscious about?" Professor Saxena asked raising his eyebrows

"The locked room?" I answered quickly.

"Yes, the locked room. The locked room which was once King Sooraj Pratap Singh Rathore's room and in the same locked room, you will find all your answers." Professor Saxena said.
