Smoke

Smoke from a campfire
Fill my lungs with joy untold
Sparks fly with the smoke

It rises to the sky
Reliving simplicity
Leaving painful thoughts

Smoke from cigarettes
Creates wonderful illusions
Illusions of peace

Numbing hidden pain
Inhale toxicity
Then exhale the smoke

Smelly nicotine
You, your clothes, breath, and house stink
Stench of cigarettes

Wrinkly skin too soon
No more resemblance to dolls
Lines cover your face

Your black shriveled lungs
You always struggle to breath
Yet you still take a drag

Drowning in your bills
Cigarettes are killing you
You rely on them

I tell you to stop
You keep heading to the cigs
Do you even care?
