(OC) and (Bias) had been dating for a while now. They were so cute together, there was no denying it. People stopped judging their relationship, it didn't make any difference between them. Each helped the other with anything that might be going on. (OC)'s birthday was coming up and every time they mentioned it, (Bias) always avoided the topic, which confused (OC).

(OC) kept hinting at their upcoming birthday, trying to get (Bias) to take the hint. It hurt that (Bias) avoided their birthday, considering that (OC) got (Bias) two little trees entwined together for his birthday. It seemed cute, and they seemed to like it.

The next day was (OC)'s birthday. Their family had gone all out,except for (family member) who wasn't there.

(OC) didn't do much that day, just lay around and waiting for something from (Bias) sending countless tests with no reply. (OC) decided that (Bias) was probably cheating on them or something like that. They thought today would be perfect. They were really hurt. First (Bias) didn't even mention their birthday at all, and now not even texting back or anything?

(OC) sighed and went out the window, climbing down to the ground. They went to the bridge on the other side of town, it was surrounded by beautiful trees on either side, water flowing underneath. They wiped away a tear and stood over the edge. THeir adrenaline was kicking in, as they watched the rushing stream. They closed their eyes and took a breath, slowly leaning over the edge.

"(OC'S NAME)!!" (Bias) screamed and hugged him them behind. (OC) froze, opening their eyes and remembering that they wasn't dead. Yet. They turned around and hugged back tightly, crying into (Bias's) shirt.

(Bias) started crying too. "Hey, hey, sh. (OC)'s name, you're okay, I've got you....why, (nickname)?" He asked softly.

"I just, I thought you were cheating on me or I wasn't good enough for you or some sh*t," They sniffled.

"No, no. No, hon. I was coming to get you, I have to show you something. I'm not cheating on you, you're too good to do that to," (Bias) kissed (OC)'s forehead and wiped their tears. "I'm so sorry, I should have responded or something. I just...I wanted to make sure you had a good birthday."

"What?" They asked, looking at their boyfriend.

"Come on," (Bias) grabbed (OC)'s hands and led then to his own house. It was completely decorated with (OC)'s favorite things and a lot of balloons.
