Ahhhh! I called my dad and ecstatically splurged to him about the email. He is the one who first introduced me to the game of hockey and the Blackhawks, except him and I are the only ones in our family who like hockey.
"Wow!! I'm so proud of you!" Dad said.
"Thanks Dad! I'm so excited!" Realization started to kick in. "I'm going to miss you a lot in Chicago."
"Don't worry honey, you'll have a great time. Besides, you'll be doing what you love. Don't forget to get me that signed Duncan Keith jersey," He laughed.
"Thanks Dad. Love you."
"Love you too honey."
I hung up and called the number in the email.
"Hello! Welcome to the Chicago Blackhawks Front Desk. How can I help you?" A seemingly middle-aged sounding lady chirped.
"I'm calling about a job application."
"I'll put you through."
I'll save you the boringness, in short, the phone call was just about me relocating to Chicago and when I can start and interview dates.
