Chapter 10: Recovery

Shadow P.O.V

I woke up to see Optimus sitting next to me as he had a smile on his face but a worried face.

Optimus: "Shadow are you alright?"

I nodded as I sat up and looked at him with a smile.

Shadow: "What happened?"

Optimus: "You mean you dont remember?"

Shadow: " No I only remember that I wasnt myself. Why? What did I do?"

My optics flew wide open as I thought of the worse thing I could've done. I panicked and Optimus could see it in my eyes.

Optimus: "Calm down Shadow. You did nothing wrong. In fact you did your job."

Shadow: "What?"

Optimus: "Let me explain."

Shadow: "Please do because Im lost."

Optimus: "You were fighting the decepticons. Then you saw Jazz go down then ran towards him. Before you could reach him you froze right were you stood. Then you yelled in pain and you shutdown. A few moments later you awoke, but you were different. You were giving an endless amount of energy. Afterwards you so enraged you took out every decepticon in sight in a matter of seconds. Then you landed a few hits on Megatron. It was so bad he had to retreat. I was impressed."

Optimus gave a small smile and I chuckled. Then I realized one thing. Jazz

Shadow: "Optimus hows Jazz is he...?"

Optimus: "No hes recovering quite well."

I saw Optimus' gaze turn into sorrow. It was like he lost something.

Shadow: "Optimus are you alright?"

Optimus: "Yes I am fine"

Shadow: "Optimus dont lie to me. I can see it in your optics."

I knew he hesitated to answer. He couldn't pull himself to answer, but he finally did.

Optimus: "I.........I was afraid. ............afraid that I would lose you. I lost one I truly loved. I thought I would never find someone to love the same way I loved her. But I was wrong my life changed the day I met you. You're the one I found happiness once again. I knew I couldn't lose you because I love you.

Shadow: "I love you too Optimus."

Optimus P.O.V

I looked into her optics and found no lie but only truth. I felt her place her small servos on each side of my faceplate. In return I did the same, though it was different compared to the size of my servos. She pulled our helms together so that we were inches away from each other. She smiled and kissed me like she never had before. I pulled away for a moment andasked her a simple question.

Optimus: "Shadow can you promise me something?"

Shadow: "Anything Optimus?"

Optimus: "Promise to never leave my side and abandoned me."

Shadow P.O.V

I smiled as he asked me to promise him.

Shadow: " I don't plan to my love?"

Optimus: "Will you do something else for me?"

Shadow: "And what is that?"

Optimus: "I know we've only none each for a short time, but would you like to become my bondmate?"

I couldn't belive my audio receptors. My spark was racing with emotions.

I covered my mouth with my servo as small tears began to slip down my face plate.

Shadow: "Yes........yes Optimus I would love to.

We both opened our spark chambers and embraced with a kiss as our sparks grabbed for each other. It was official I was bonded to a Prime and it was the happiest day of my life. Before we noticed anything we sensed a few optics watching us.

Bumblebee: "Did I really just see that?"

Bulkhead: "Guess so."

Cliffjumper: "That was just whoa!"

Arcee: "I've never actually seen that happen before."

Bumblebee: "Your telling me."

Razor : "I thought it was sweet."

War Path: "Oh well he beat me to her."

Night Bird: "Whoa!"

I felt my entire face turn red as I stared in embarrassment.

Optimus: "Autobots I-

Optimus was beginning to speak but was cutt of by the resonating voices.

All autobots: "CONGRATULATIONS OPTIMUS PRIME AND SHADOW STAR!!!!!!"

I nearly passed out, As I relized they were happy for us. Optimus felt my tension and put a servo over my shoulder.

Shadow & Optimus: "Thank You."

I didnt suprise me that we said it at the same time. It would have happened either way. We felt it everything we felt after we bonded. We were one.

Shadow: " Optimus when I was human my mother always told me the one I'd fall in love with would be my other half. That when when he found me and I'd find. We would be one.

Optimus: " Your Mother is correct. With our bomd we are truly one."
