The rest of the week went like this - James quietly saying 'hi' to Lily, smiling at her in classes, but nothing more. It was when Severus did something particularly annoying that he almost snapped. The Slytherin had 'accidentally' spilled his potion on James as they were walking past him in the halls. Now, James had been doing his best to avoid Severus as to not screw up the whole thing with Lily, but this really annoyed him, because he saw Snape smirk.
"Was that on purpose, you git?" James growled, taking his wand out of his pocket as Severus did the same.
"James, no!" Abigail hissed, grabbing his wrist.
"Levi-" He was cut off as she suddenly snapped her fingers in front of him and shouted "FREEZE." He froze immediately, his mouth still open and his wand still pointed at Snape. Sirius started laughing, Remus chuckled, and Peter giggled as she rolled her eyes.
"Go about your day, mate. Say hi to Lily for me, by the way." Abigail told Severus with a smile, sliding James' wand out of his hand. Severus nodded, still confused by the whole 'why the fuck is James standing there frozen' thing before walking away. "Unfreeze." She said, snapping her fingers in front of him again.
"-corpus!" Nothing happened, and he looked at his hand confusedly, then at the spot where Severus had been. "What the hell?"
"James, you tosser, you're lucky Lily wasn't here." She handed him back his wand, snapping her fingers again to get the potion remnants on his robes disappear.
"He deliberately did that! Did you see him smirk? He smirked."
"Yes, of course, deer." Sirius snorted, quickly covering his mouth as he leaned against James for support. Since Sirius was taller, however, the sudden addition of weight made James topple over to the ground.
"Bloody hell, how much do you weigh, Padfoot! You're like an elephant...get off me!" James shouted, kicking Sirius off as the taller boy clutched his stomach in pain from too much laughter.
That was Wednesday. Today was Friday. Yay.
She had gotten all her friends gifts, and she was quite pleased with them. They may or may not be Asgardian, but pfft that's fine. She wrapped them all in little boxes with green wrapping paper with gold stripes and a silver bow. Each had a letter attached to them. As she walked down to the Main Hall with the gifts in a bag, she plopped down next to Sirius, who was sleeping on the table. He jerked away, however, when she smacked him on the back of the head.
"Ooooh...gifties." She snorted at the name - Sirius was definitely hungover.
"Yes, gifties." Abigail reached into the bag, narrowing her eyes before pulling out the ones for the Marauders and one by one placing them in front of the designated boy. Sirius opened his letter, a grin spreading across his lips. She may or may not have said that she loved him - the first time either of them had said or written it to the other. He planted a chaste kiss on her lips before carefully ripping off the wrapping paper, which disintegrated the moment it left the box in colorful rainbow sparkles before he opened the box. Inside was a pair of wolf earrings with gold eyes. His eyes widened, and he looked at her.
"You noticed my ears are pierced?" He asked, his mouth hanging open as he carefully took the two earrings out of the fluffy cotton.
"Yeah...you like them?" She asked hopefully. He looked at her, grinning before setting them down and throwing his arms around her and kissing her on her lips. She smiled, genuinely happy that he liked them. He quickly put them on, his eyes widening as the eyes glowed and strands of gold wrapped around his ears before disappearing.
Cool, huh? He yelped in surprise, staring at her with raised eyebrows.
"Did you just..."
