What Are You?

Ah, the Full Moon. Quite beautiful to astronomers alike. To Remus Lupin, it was a nightmare. The full moon meant that he would go through the dreadful process of transforming into a werewolf. 

They were a bit late getting down to the Whomping Willow, as Lily had been on Prefect duty and wouldn't leave this one goddamn hallway. Remus, Peter, and James were all underneath the Invisibility cloak, while Abigail and Sirius were holding hands - her illusion magic allowing them to stay invisible. They were walking down the hall and turned the corner, all of them stopping to see Lily glaring daggers at Severus - who she had caught roaming the halls after curfew.

"Shit..." Sirius whispered, making Abigail promptly slap him in the chest.

"Wait, Lily, please, let me-"

"No, Severus, I will not be your bloody friend again! You called me the most unforgivable word you could've ever said! After I tried to help you! I'm not going to be your friend again just because you say sorry!" Lily shouted, her fists clenching as Severus seemed to take a step back in fear. Understandable, as Lily almost never shouted angrily. Even at James, she was never mad. Just embarrassed or irritated.

"Lily, please, I didn't mean to say it, it just slipped out!"

"No, you were doing it to impress your Slytherin friends!"

They continued arguing as the Marauders tried to slip past them. After they finally managed to get all the way down to the path to the Forbidden Forest, James took off the cloak and handed it to Abigail, who stuffed it into her backpack as she and Sirius became visible. Remus suddenly fell to his knees, groaning as Abigail rushed over and picked him up bridal style.

"Holy shit you're strong," Remus uttered, shivering violently as his fingers twitched.

"Thanks, mate." She smiled down at him as they finally entered the forest. She had the Whomping Willow in her sights, and Peter quickly transformed into a rat and sprinted towards it as Remus screamed in pain. The trees limbs suddenly stopped moving, Remus' back arched, his body falling out of her arms as his nails dug into the dirt and grass. Abigail and Sirius bent down, quickly helping him up as they rushed towards the huge tree.

"Oh my god...!" Abigail whipped around, her eyes widening as she spotted Severus and Lily watching on. Fur rapidly grew down Remus' legs and arms, his screams piercing the once silent forest. Snape immediately drew his wand.

"Sirius, get him to the shack," Abby growled, watching as Sirius glanced back at Severus before nodding and helping Remus into the tunnel.

"You're protecting a werewolf!" Severus started walking forward, a scowl on his face.

"Severus, I hate you, and I would love nothing more than for you to get annihilated by Moony, but for Remus' sake, I have to tell you to back the fuck off!" James shouted, taking out his wand along with Abigail. Her eyes blazed bright gold, warning the Slytherin to stand back.

"You will let me through! He is a disgrace and has to be killed!" Severus exclaimed, his wand trembling in his hand. Lily stood behind him, her eyes still wide open in shock.

"Severus, no, you'll be killed!" Abigail shouted, a pleading look in her eyes.

He suddenly shouted, "Stupify!" followed by a rose red streak of light firing out of his wand towards James. Without a second thought, six wings unfurled from her back, the right three ones spreading right in front of James to block the hex. James, along with Severus and Lily, were understandably confused as shit as to why six grey-feathered wings suddenly sprouted out of her back.

"I would listen to James, Snape. You won't like me when I'm mad." She growled, her gold and emerald hilted sword appearing in her left hand with her wand in her right. Her attention was promptly drawn to the Whomping Willow as the familiar black retriever was suddenly thrown out of the tunnel going beneath the huge tree, followed by the large werewolf. Her eyes widened, the sword disappearing as the dog quickly stood up and looked at her wings with wide eyes. "Everyone get behind me, now!"
