Sir Geoff was slightly nervous to knock on the white marble door of Princess Courtneys room. She was seen crying at the grave of King David and Prince George last night. He was very close to Courtney, he was orphaned at a young age. She and her Mother took him in and it was there he discovered a passion for fighting. He was made a knight and helped protect the girl who felt like a sister, Courtney. He took a deep breath and knocked. There was a sound of shuffling footsteps and Courtney opened the door. She smoothed out her purple dress and went to fix her hair. "So, how do you feel?" He asked. "I feel as good as one can when her father and brother have been murdered and she is going to become queen tomorrow." She said matter of factly. Geoff wasn't sure how to respond. He knew she must be hurting, but knowing Courtney, she wouldn't admit it. "Wanna go for a walk?" He asked, ever since they were little that was one of their favorite things to do. She nodded and followed him out of the castle. They headed into the woods and to the lake. It was beautiful, with a small waterfall and sparkling clear water. They talked about the journey and what she would do once she was queen. "Oh how I wish mother were here." Said Courtney. She had died of a disease when Courtney was 14. Queen Erika was so kind and loving, she was missed by every one. After about an hour, they headed back to the castle to make last minute preparations for the journey. Courtney would be traveling to the temple of royals. There she would be either crowned, or sent away. The temple master would judge her, and decide if she was worthy of the throne. The Barlow family had ruled for centuries, so if she was the one to end that, she'd be seen as a failure. By the end of the day, everything was set. They would leave at daybreak. Courtney went to bed , but Geoff had to go see someone.
