She couldn't believe it. It had happened so suddenly. Princess Courtney watched as fresh tears made  their way down her face, on to the dark oak lid of her father's coffin. He had gone to discuss a peace treaty, to stop Lady Heather from destroying the royal family. But he failed. And he payed with his life, and the life of his eldest son. She shed even more tears at the thought of her brother. He was only 23. With a wife and 2 children. But she couldn't cry forever, she had to get ready. Heather thought she destroyed the royal family. What better way to prove her wrong then to crown a new ruler. Courtney stood, and silently vowed to her dead family members, that she would bring back peace to Corona. She walked back to the castle, and told the guards to open the doors. The massive wooden doors were opened, and Courtney stepped in to the stone castle. After about 15 minutes (It is a very large castle) she made it to her room. She tossed herself on her large white bed. She layed there for a while, and thought about the journey she would make in 2 days. She was very nervous, but knew she had to do it. She had always trained to be queen, but had assumed her brother would get the throne. He would've made a great king, just as her father was. She slowly closed her eyes, drifting into a troubled sleep.
(Courtneys dream)
She was on a road, an arrow whizzed past. (Flash) Around a campfire laughing.(flash) Coming to a dark castle. (Flash) Lady Heather.(flash) Pain. (Flash) Blue eyes, with tears in them, staring at her as she was held in warm strong arms.
(End of dream)
She woke up sweaty and panting. What happened? Why did it feel so real? Who was that? Did I die? She looked around and realized that it was morning. She wiped her forehead and got out of bed, putting on a purple dress. A soft knock at the door signaled that her gaurd was here to say good morning.
