Minca, strolled along the boardwalk, waiting for Maya. She wore a long, flowy beach dress, with a bathing suit under it.
"Hey Minca, I'm sorry if I came a bit late," Maya smiled.
"No problem," Minca nodded. "Oh, by the way, I really like your hair. The color really makes it pop," Minca complimented.
"Thanks," Maya blushed.
They floated in the soft gentle water, the ripples resembling shattered glass. The water was gentle on their feet. They were at the mercy of the ruthless wind, and the wisdom of the deep blue sea, stretching out across the great horizon.
"Your hair looks even more beautiful when it's wet," Minca blushed, playing with her hair. They both broke out in laughter.
"You look so beautiful I forgot my pickup line ," Maya flirted, pulling Minca closer towards her.
"Yes, well your lips look like magnets right now" Minca laughed, biting her lips. She leaned in closer, dragging her finger down Maya's back. Their lips were about to become one, when the the loud whistle of the lifeguard broke the kiss. The lifeguard signaled for them all to come back, as he frantically swung his arms around. Darkness prevailed the sky. The white clouds that had once ruled, were now overthrown by a merciless dark.
Through the vastness of the ocean, they saw a wave curl up above them. The force of the water pushed them farther into the sea. They were now surrounded by the mighty swelling of the ocean. They were pulled into the water. Dragged out of the dull pull of gravity. Minca rose up from the water, gasping for air. Maya grabbed her waist, as they began to doggy paddle closer to land. Another wave rose behind them. They swam faster and faster. The water swallowed them, and spit them back into the shore. They lay clinging onto each other, digging their fingers into the moist sand. They crawled back to safety, above the limitless sky, possessed by murky hue.
