DreamI couldn't help but think about what he said to me at the restaurant. Was I really a bitter bitch? Was I still holding on to my past? I had never met someone who put in my place, and I didn't even know him. He was right, I did judge him but how am I suppose to not judge him when all he rap about is bitches, and hoes. Yeah, I know I'm a stripper but that doesn't defines who I am. It's just my temporary job.
"Ms. Rivera, day dreaming won't make you a Doctor. Finish your rounds, and report to me before your shift ends." I quickly snapped out of my thoughts. "Okay Doctor Carter." She was mumbling other stuff about how medical students are so lazy now, and how back in her days she didn't have time to Day Dream. I could not stand her! She was always a bitch to me, for no reason at all. I did my rounds, shadowed the Doctor that I was assigned to, and did some paperwork. I looked at my watch, and noticed that it was time to go. As I was making my way the locker room to change in remembered that Dr. Carter wanted me to report to her. I went ahead and changed, and knocked softly on her office door once I was finished. "Come In." "Hey, Dr. Carter it's me." I said. "Have a seat Ms. Davis." I did as I was told. "Do you know why I asked you to come by?" She asked. "No, I don't actually." I replied. "Lately you seem as if you're not focusing on school and that your mind is else where. Tell me, do you really want to be a Doctor. Because you seem to be off lately. Not to mention, you day dreaming in the middle of your shift. And there has been talk about your weekend occupation, which I feel may be the reason." She paused and let out a small laugh. "You should have majored in arts , because maybe being a doctor isn't your calling. You black people think that everything is suppose to be handed to you." She said with a slight smirk. I was livid on the inside, but tried to keep my poker face. "Well my grades don't reflect my day dreaming, for me to be "off" I'm top of the class, number one to be exact. I attended one of the most prestigious schools, in which I obtained my degree, and graduated as Salutatorian. I bust my ass everyday and I pay for school out of my own pocket. So until you decide that you want to pay tuition for me, my ass will continue to work my "weekend" occupation. And the next time you want to meet with me, please at least let it be about school instead of my personal life. You white people tend to mind other people business." I said as I gathered my stuff and began to walk off. As I got to the door, I looked back and said one more thing. "Oh, and by the way, my weekend occupation keeps your husband entertained, he's my loyal customer and he pays well." I said with a wink and left. Her face was the highest shade of red.I clocked out, and left to go home.

"I hate when people think they're better than you, or that you're beneath them. That bitch don't know me from a can of paint, and thought it was okay to give her opinion on MY life. I bust my ass, and she still gives me a hard time everyday. Ole' miserable bitch." I was was venting to Sheda. We were at my apartment drinking wine, as I told her about my day. "I understand where you're coming from, but you know that she's just jealous of you. She judged you, but remember you judged MoneyBagg Yo without knowing him." She replied. I had to stop, and think. I was already thinking about what he said to me earlier, but now that she mention that, it really wasn't much of a difference."You're right. But I can't take that shit back." I simply stated.
"Exactly. She can't take the shit she said back either. Let that be the fuel to your fire, and prove her wrong. You're Dream, something like this should never let you second guess yourself."
I laughed and said, "Bitch when did you become Dr. Phil." "Thanks for the compliment hoe. I'm gone start charging your ass!" She said laughing.
"I want to get away this weekend. Let's go to Miami. I would love to go to the beach." "I'm with it, book the flights and I'm down."***********************
