Scarlet
I was happy. The happiest I've ever been. It's been a good week and a bit since my first date with Niall. I've been working, and when I'm not working I'm with Niall. And if I'm not with him, I'm texting with him or video chatting with him and Wes. It's been great. We've been on four other dates since our first. We've practically gone out almost every day. We decided on doing this thing where we each alternate between taking each other out. The second and fourth date I planned, whilst he planned the first, third and fifth. We've been golfing, out for dinner and picnicking - his ideas. Along with, ice skating and bowling - my ideas.
Today being Saturday I decided I'd plan our sixth date. I wasn't sure if it was considered a date since Wes was with us, but Niall said it counted. And it was needed since I decided on a more relaxed and chilled out date instead.
It consisted of us getting brunch together at a bistro, and then headed to a park to let Wes play around for a bit, whilst Niall and I chatted and fed each other chocolate covered strawberries. The cold got a little too much, and that's when we decided to head indoors.
I made sure to let Niall know that he and Wes would be staying over with me, as a continuation of our date. I wanted a lowkey date, filled with cliché movies and pizza.
All the while, I still managed to bond with Wes, allowing for Niall and I to see where our relationship was truly headed. We weren't exclusive or official or anything. But we may as well be. I just didn't want to rush anything. But I also didn't want to assume anything either. We needed to chat about it because for my own sanity I needed to know that what we have going on and what we had was real and that we were both equally committed to making a relationship work. A long term one, at that. Things were going well, but things also needed to be discussed. Hopefully we'd be able to at some point soon.
Onto the present, Niall, myself and Wes has arrived back at my apartment. I was in the process of ordering pizza for us, whilst Niall picked out something to watch for my Netflix cue. Wesley was happily sat at my coffee table colouring a picture in his colouring book. He was beyond excited and it made me genuinely happy.
"The pizza should be here in about half an hour. We can start the movie and get halfway? Or we can wait and then start when the pizza gets here?" I asked Niall, as I handed in him a bottle of water.
"We can start now. I wasn't sure what to choose from but I went with The Kissing Booth? Apparently it's a recent release so why not?" He suggested.
"That sounds good to me. I'm just going to get comfortable. Please do the same, if you want." I pressed a kiss to his cheek, before I skipped to my room so that I could change into more comfortable clothes. Jeans and ankle boots didn't exactly scream 'movie-time comfort', does it?
I changed into a pair of leggings, a tank top and my grey hoodie, and left my pair of white socks on my feet. I put my hair up into a high ponytail, and switched my contact lenses for my glasses instead.
By the time I returned to the living room, it was around 20 minutes later. Oops?
Niall was sat, looking down at his phone. He had shrugged off his jacket and kicked off his shoes, leaving him in a cute as fuck cream sweater and his jeans. He had gotten rid of his paddy cap too, exposing his fluffy looking hair. Adorable.
I flopped down next to him, almost pushing him off the couch."Watch it!" He teased, as his inched closer to me, wrapping an arm around me.
"Calm it, fatty." I retorted, cuddling into his side further, receiving a chuckle and a kiss to my head in return.
"All ready?" He asked before pressing play.We sat in silence for a few minutes into the movie, trying to concentrate and grasp the movie entirely. But I began feeling bored and wasn't paying much attention. Niall's fingers lightly tracing patterns on my hip wasn't helping either. Luckily, my boredom was saved by a knock on the door and the buzzing of my phone. The pizza was here.
