Help Me Remember

Part 1

Sarah woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing. She looked over at her friend Charlie who she had spent the night with. And then very quietly opened her phone and saw that she had a text from Steve.

"BE BACK AT THE COMPOUND IN 30! No excuses!." The text said

She groaned and started to put her clothes on. Charlie woke up and said "Hey time to go save the world again?" 

She laughed and said "Yeah. Thanks for last night by the way." 

"Anytime." He started to kiss her and she said "Charlie you know this is just sex right. No strings." 

He said "Right I know." 

She grabbed her stuff and kissed his cheek. "I will text you later." she said as she walked out. 

She got down to her car and plugged in her phone to her aux cord and started playing "Castle." By Halsey. Rolled down her windows and turned the music up full blast she didn't care that it was like 6 in morning. By the time she got off the main road and turned on to Avengers Rd she had Bad At Love playing Steve was laughing as he stood in the garage he could hear her at the end of road and Natasha walked up behind him and said "She does know that the rest of the world doesn't need to hear Halsey at 6 in the morning."

She pulled into the garage and parked in her spot. She said "Why am I being ordered at 6 am to be back here like I'm a child." 

"Because I need you to go with me and Natasha to Wakanda." Steve said 

"Why do I need to go if Natasha is going." She said 

"For someone who was suppose to get laid last night you are very cranky." Natasha said 

"Ugh...sorry I haven't had coffee and we were up till 2 this morning." She said 

"Some people would consider what you and Charlie doing a relationship." Steve said 

Sarah just rolled her eyes and said "Some people would say the same thing about you and Natasha. I'm not in a relationship with Charlie we made rules like the song I was just playing I'm bad at love even you know that Steve. You dated me for 6 months." 

"You are not a bad girlfriend Sarah." Steve said with a smile 

She got on the elevator and said "Right I have only had one relationship in the last 5 years and that was you Steve." 

Nat threw in "That you know about." 

"Right cause I did lose a year of my life maybe Pearce had me date someone and I just don't remember." She pushed the close doors button and said "Take me to my suite FRIDAY"

She got upstairs to her room and got her suit on and gear together and met Steve and Nat on the helipad. Natasha handed her a to go mug of coffee and said "If I have to put on a jet with your cranky ass then you will need this." 

"Aww so thoughtful of you Nat." Sarah said 

Steve smiled he loved when glimpses of Sarah's old personality would come out. He missed the old Sarah the girl he knew. She use to be so full of life and a ray of sunshine and sarcastic as hell and all around big hearted person. And then it was all taken away from her and Sarah came back completely different and had no idea where she had been for the last year. 

They got on the jet and took off to Wakanda. Natasha looked back at Sarah and said "Steve do you know that she could be right. That Pearce could of made her date someone within Hydra and made her a double agent." 

"I've thought about that Nat. I just choose to not dwell on it. I wish so badly that she could remember I miss the old Sarah. I sit sometimes in my room and watch the videos I have of her on my phone of when she use to smile and be goofy and silly I miss that Sarah. I don't want you to think that I don't love you Nat cause I do. But Sarah meant a lot to me and when she got involved with Pearce I was scared for her he always seem like he had something to hide." Steve said to Nat.

"I know you love me Steve and I know you still care about her. She means a lot to this team. I just wish there was a way to help her remember." Nat said

They finally landed in Wakanda. Sarah was asleep on the seats when Nat smacked her leg and said "Get up we are here." 

"Ugh god you don't have to hit me." Sarah said 

Sarah ran her fingers through her red hair. She stepped off the plane and Bucky swallowed hard he thought he would never see Sarah again. 

"Bucky it's good to see you again. You ready to get back to the states. You remember Natasha and this is Sarah.." Steve said but got cut off when BUcky said "Sarah Cooper. I already know her and it's good to see you again doll." 

Sarah recognized his eyes but couldn't place how or where she knew him. She got a confused look on her face and looked at Steve. 

"Buck if you know Sarah you are going to have to be a little bit more specific of when you knew Sarah.". Steve said 

"When she was working for Pearce. We had a relationship a very hot heated relationship." Bucky said 

Sarah looked down to hide tears. She doesn't remember Bucky she doesn't remember any of the time with Hydra. 

"Did I say something wrong?" Bucky said 

"NO Bucky it's just Sarah doesn't remember any of that time." Steve said as they all started to walk on the jet. Sarah told Nat she would take co pilot so Steve could talk to Bucky. 

"We were so in love Steve. What happened?" He whispered as he looked up at her wiping tears.

"We don't know. We don't know if they used the chair on her we don't know anything cause she doesn't remember. All I know is Sarah came back and wasn't Sarah anymore." Steve said 

Bucky looked at her and thought "How could they hurt her."
