Help Me Remember

Part 5

Bucky and Sarah were in the training room she had Nat and Steve pull up the mats. Sarah was nervous she hadn't danced in a long time everyone came into the training to watch. Steve said "Sarah you ready?" 

"Yeah start the music." She said 

Bucky and her started to Waltz to Unchained Melody. It was like riding a bike for Sarah once the music started and Bucky lead her across the dance floor she remembered how to do the Waltz and she even remember her favorite lift where she is lifted above her partner's head and she almost does a hand stand. Once the song was over everyone started clapping and Hope said "Wow Sarah that was amazing." 

"Thanks Hope." Sarah said then looked at Bucky and said "Yeah you are definitely better at dancing with me then Steve." 

"Hey that is not nice Sarah." Steve said

"You stepped on my toes all the time Steve. I thought for sure you would know how to dance cause you told me stories all the time about how you and Barnes here went on double dates to the dance hall." Sarah said 

"He didn't dance with the girls that was me." Bucky said

"Well that definitely explains it." She said with a giggle. 

Steve said "I miss that giggle." 

Sarah took a breathe and said "Ok well shall we go do that dance again Bucky." 

"Yeah just a minute." Bucky said then walked over to Steve and said "Hey Steve you have to stop she knows that you care about her but constantly reminding her when she shows little glimpses of the Sarah you remember makes her feel worse cause she doesn't remember." 

"I know Buck I just I keep wishing that if I remind her of who she was that it will help trigger a memory like it did with you." Steve said 

"I know I wish I knew what I could say that would help her." Bucky said as he walked back to Sarah to do the dance again. As they were dancing he said "Steve really cares about you. How long were you two together?" 

"6 months..Nat set us up. He was great to me but I broke up with him cause we were better off as friends. I loved him but not like a girlfriend but more of a friend plus I was starting to work for Pearce and it started an argument because he never liked Pearce. I hate being told what to do and so I said it was over that we could still be friends." Sarah said 

"Boy don't I know you hate being told what to do." Bucky said to her

She laughed and said "I take it I was a bitch to you too." 

"Oh no doll. The first time you ever told me that I couldn't tell you what to do unless it was during a mission I learned my lesson." Bucky said 

The song was over and she said "We can practice more later ok?"

"That's fine doll." He said as he kissed her cheek. 

Later that night Sarah was asleep and having one of her nightmares but this nightmare was about her being in the chair. 

HER DREAM

"Pearce please don't do this. I will keep my mouth shut I won't tell anyone that you were working for Hydra." Sarah said 

"Oh I know you won't cause you won't remember a thing from this past year not even Barnes. He doesn't love you it was all lie to keep you working for me." Pearce said to her 

"No no that's a lie he loves me he told me that he loves me." Sarah said 

"Just because a man tells you that he loves you in the throws of passion Ms Cooper doesn't mean that he loves you. He doesn't love you." Pearce said
