It was the day of the mission Sarah was in her room doing her hair and make up in her bra and panties. Bucky knocked on her door and she said "Come in." He said "Doll we leave in like 30 minutes and you still aren't ready."
"Ok ok." She grabbed her dress off the bed and she stepped into it and he came over and zipped it up for her. He said "Hey I um I got you something well a few things but anyways close your eyes." She said "Ok James. You are scaring me." As she closed her eyes she felt something cold go across her neck and she said "James if you got me a necklace then you could of just said I got you a necklace."

"James omg it's beautiful. I um omg it can't be. It's not the one you gave me before is it." She said as she remembered she had one before that she wore for couple missions. He smiled and said "No doll it's not. While you were out yesterday with the girls I went and looked at every jewelry store to find one like it. Luckily Steve knew where I could find vintage jewelry."
"James I love it and I get to keep this one." She said with tears in her eyes
"There's more darlin." he whispered as he took her diamond stud earrings out of her ears.

He started to put a pair of matching earrings in her ears and said "I figured you would want them to go with your necklace."
"James Barnes they are beautiful." she whispered trying to hold back tears. She said "Ok we need to go before you ruin my makeup." He smiled and said "I got you something else. Do you remember what you said to me when I told you that I wanted to marry you one of the many nights in our room."
She swallowed hard and closed her eyes and tried to remember. "Give me a proper proposal and I will say yes as long as my ring is black sapphire engagement ring like my necklace." she whispered as she remembered that night.
She opened her eyes and he smiled and said "Come here." he sat her down on her bed and said "you told that asshole you were already taken and that was 4 years ago." He pulled out a ring box and said "Marry Me Sarah. This is where our forever starts we aren't with Hydra anymore and being with the Avengers isn't so bad we aren't forced to do things here and we aren't locked in a room at night. I love you my feelings for you have always been my own."
