Help Me Remember

Part 4

When they got back to compound she told him that they had to go to training. She came out of her room with a sports bra and shorts on and her hair in two braids. He shook his head and smiled and she said "What?"

"These." he said as he pulled on her braids 

"oh I have always worn my hair like this during training. Don't get to excited Bucky." She said to him

They headed down to the training room. They walked in and she said "Steve what are you wanting us to do?"

"I want Bucky to show you how you two use to work together. You have to remember cause he's going to be your partner again." Steve said 

"But Steve the mission is in 4 days I'm not going to be able get all this in 4 days and dance." Sarah said 

Bucky grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the mat. "Doll this isn't going to be hard." Bucky said 

"This was your favorite move." he said as he made it look like they were dancing then he made her slide her hand down slowly and whispered "I always kept your gun here so we could do all those fancy lifts and no one could see your gun." He placed her hand on his back where he would keep her gun. Then he said "Now you do it by yourself." So she did her move as he placed his hand on her back and made them walk backwards while they pretended to shoot.

Then he said "Then you would do a flip away from me and do your own thing. Then when you would need more ammo you would back up into me and I would reach behind me and slide ammo into your hand." She did that as well and he said "That's how we handled missions that required us to be a couple at a party. We also did a lot of hand to hand combat as well." 

She bit her lip and Steve said "See this first mission isn't going to be hard to do Sarah you can do all that. And still dance." 

"Yeah I guess. And if I get shot it's on you all." She said

Bucky made her do it couple more times to get her use to it again. After they were done she was sitting on the floor and he sat down beside her and said "It will come to you." 

"Bucky you started to remember things after everything. How?" She said 

"I had a little help with the museum and everytime I had a memory come up I would write it down. I also ate a lot I mean a lot of plums." he said with a laugh. 

"I just want my life back. I feel like so many pieces of me are missing." She said to him as she got up.

"Is that why you have been sleeping with Charlie?" he said to her

She stopped in her tracks and fought back tears. "Sarah?' he said 

"He feels the void Bucky that's all it is. No strings no frills just sex." She said to him

Bucky walked over to her and stood in front of her and lifted her chin "Fills what void?" he said as he wiped a tear that fell

"Being alone." she whispered 

"But it doesn't work I can tell." he said to her as he continued to wipe tears.

"No but it works for the night." She said to him

"The whole team thinks that there is something wrong with me cause I do it. I just I'm surrounded by couples all day long and having to work with my ex boyfriend who is constantly reminding me of who I use to be when I was with him he even shows me videos of who I use to be. I don't know what happened to me why my personality suddenly changed. Why I have to work so hard to get a fucking orgasm. They keep off of Hydra missions cause they don't know what happened while I supposedly worked for Hydra. My life is a mess so yes I sleep with Charlie even if I don't always get off because atleast for a night I'm not a damn superhero trying to figure out who she is while saving the world." Sarah said
