Lost in Doctor Strange's Universe

Invitation

'I'm sorry but I need to do this.' Whispers my heart and continue my way towards my target.

After I had arrived, I made a self-reminder that I need to get the book as fast as I can and not to get caught by the librarian especially Wong. He would totally freak out and nag at me for stealing the book or worse kill me.

I took one step at a time. 'The library is sure quiet and not that popular.' Well, it really was. I thought it would be full or half full or at least a few people in the library exclude Wong but my expectation was wrong. None. No one was in the library at the time and it was my golden opportunity. I quickly went to the shelf unnoticed. The book was still there and it made me relieved. 'All I have to do is take this and...'

That's when it got worse. I recklessly let the chain go and it did make clanking sound. What's more, it echoed through the silent library. "SHOOT!!" I half scream and quickly ran to the exit but went hiding as I saw Wong emerge from the counter.

"Who's there?" his voice echo.

I cup my mouth to prevent myself from making any sound. But that didn't work so I held my breath. Hoping to not be noticed by Wong.

"Hello?" The call again. He slowly went out from his counter and begin walking towards the shelves. The worse part was he tiptoed his way towards the shelf. I can't even hear his footsteps so I can't predict where will he went. But fortunate for me, I was behind a shelf which was a few feet closer to the entrance and it was kinda hidden.

So, as he walks towards another shelf I manage to keep my eye on him. I took one step at a time to get myself to the exit. Once I was close enough I dash my way out. But it was a disaster after I accidentally infringed my toe into one of the shelves.

I bit my lower lip to prevent myself from screaming in agony while enduring the pain which was really, really painful and really stings if you ask me. 'Come on, just a bit more!' I yell in my mind and continued my way out.

"Stop at where you are!" Wong yells but still hadn't know who was behind it. His pace was getting faster after he was being alerted by my mistake.

"Screw it!" I said to myself and dashed out.

"I'll help you with that." Whispers Phoenix. Surprisingly my stung toe gradually better and I ran faster than before. I tried to contact Phoenix but it seems he doesn't want to be contacted. "Fine, I'll talk to you later." I half whisper and exited the perimeter.

Out and about, I decrease my speed to catch my breath. After having the book in my hands I was thinking of going straight to my room but that won't happen. From afar, I saw Master walking past a few people. His expression was kinda angry or worried, I can't tell.

"Oh shoot, where should I hide this time?" I frantically asking myself. Ran out of ideas, I went hiding in a dark corner.

"How about in the shadows?" Someone suggested. In an instant, a black portal appears under my feet and I yelp while falling into the void.

"Huh, what, where, who?" I frantically ask as I'm not falling rather floating.

"Heyy~" Z come to me.

"Z?!"

"Welcome to my second home. The shadow dimension where shadow creature lives." She greets me while extending her hands, pleased with my arrival.

"Shadow dimension? How did I end up here?" puzzle, I look at my left and my right. All around me was black and quiet as I had the feeling of something was lurking somewhere in the corner.
