I shift my feet and cross my arms staring at him as he moves away from his truck towards me.  Pumba trots over to him and jumps with his feet up on Blakes shoulders, slobbering all over his face.  "Pumba, no, off ."  I say firmly watching as the big dog drops down off of Blakes shoulders moving a few feet away and laying in the green grass.  Blake looks at me and frowns before taking a step closer to me.  Linda moves in front of me a low growl rising in her throat.  "Halt,"  I reach down scratching her ears, keeping my gaze fixed on my ex-husband.  "It's alright girl."

Blake looks between me and the dogs, before sighing and stuffing his hands in his pockets.  "She doesn't like me much does she?"  He says tipping his head to the large red dog at my feet.

"She's not stupid.  She know who to like and who not to."  I say my voice flat, refusing to show him emotion.

"Did you just call Pumba stupid?"  Blake asks his brow raised in question, Pumba lifts his head and lets out a woof at his name.

I look away from him and to the dog.  "He's not the brightest goat in the herd.  He like almost everyone."  I focus my grey eyes on him once again.  "What do you want Blake?"

He takes off his hat and runs his fingers through the thick locks, before placing it back on his head.  "I told you.  I need your help."

I tap my fingers against my leg, a nervous habit, and stare at him waiting for him to continue.

"One of the mares won't nurse her foal, she only fed him the first handful hours and then stopped letting him get close. The little ones not doing well.  Carter's bottle feedin' him right now, but he can't take the lil one to his apartment."

I cross my arms at my brothers name and stare at Blake.  "It's your colt, why would my brother have to do it?  Take care of it on you own, or do you still not do that?"

Blake groans and tosses his arms up, causing Linda to release a low growl as she moves in front of me, Pumba just lifts his head and woofs keeping his eyes on Blake.  "Easy you two."  I return my attention to the man in front of me.

"I have enough to work on between the horses and the cattle, I don't have time to bottle feed one colt.  Yeah I'd like to have him cause he'd be good to sell as show horse, but I can't put the time into 'im right now.  'Sides you were always better at the baby thing than I am."

I scowl at him and push the stray hairs out of my face.  "Just bring the baby and leave.  I don't want to talk to you Blake.  I'll take care of him, but no way are you getting him back to sell off."

Blake cuts in clearly angry, "He's my horse!"

"Than take care of him!  Other wise bring him over, and I'll keep him.  Clearly you have no use for him."  I turn my back on my ex-husband and start to walk to the barn.

"Damn it woman, you're more stubborn now then you've ever been!  I still need to make some sort of profit on him.  He's got good breeding behind him!"

"Then I'll give you a hundred dollars just so you'll leave me and the colt alone.  Then you make a small profit and can continue your work with all your other stock and pretend he doesn't exist.  Just leave!  Tell Carter to bring him over.  At least I can deal with my brother, you I want to kick in the shins and shove in a pile of horse manure!  You still can't figure out how to manage multiple goals at once.  I get it you've got your cow horses, and the breeding stock, as well as that damn herd of freaking cattle.  But it's one baby!"  I tell him growing frustrated.  "I don't even know how old he is!"

"He's three days old Audrey, you're brother stayed up all day yesterday, and one of the other hands handled-"

I throw my hands in the air and glare at Blake, "Three days!?  And you left him alone?  Damn you and your thick skull!  I'll come over in an hour and pick him up myself, so don't bother your pretty little head.  You'll get your cash and won't have to worry about him ever again."  With that I turn and briskly walk back to the barn, not bothering to look back as he calls after me.  "One hour Blake."  I call before I disappear into the barn.
