In the middle of the year, my mom wanted to introduce us kids to someone she's been seeing. I thought we were going to be through the same things that we had gone through previously, she'd meet a guy, she'd introduce us, and later he'd leave. The same routine with each guy, so I prepared myself for it all over again.

She brought us to his work since he was staying in a little space they had for an office space or something in case they needed it. When we walked in to his room, he must've thought she was going to bring us later so he didn't bother to take down his posters. Or change his computers wallpaper. Can you guess what it was? It wasn't for kids our age, that's for sure.

As we were walking to his room space, there was a cat that was wandering around the garage that had heavy machinery in it. He was a black cat with some white patches here and there, but he was huge. That wasn't a cat, I was convinced it was a tiny panther. If a normal cat is around 1 foot tall, this cat was nearly double that, he was insane for his species.

Anyways, not soon after we were introduced, he bought a house he had been eyeing for when he found the one. So we were going to move back into Ridgeville after not even being gone for a year, but we couldn't switch school districts in the middle of the year. So for the remainder of that year, we would sleep at the new house he just bought, drive to Spruce Wood, get ready at that house, and go to school there. The after school schedule was pretty much the same thing. Take the bus to our house, wait on our mom to come get us from that house, and drive back to Ridgeville.

Everything was fine (until the fire nation attacked) until we got a letter saying we had to move out of our mobile home soon. I get my procrastination from my mom seeing how they changed the locks and wouldn't let us get into it to get the rest of our things because we were taking too long to leave. So I lost a few things that were valuable to me, but its fine, I probably would've just horded it anyways.

After that school year ended, we transferred back into the Ridgeville school district and I would've finally been able to make friends without going to a different school in the next month or two. I thought it'd be that easy; making friends. Just talk to people and hope for the best, right? It's never that easy when you have a stutter. Oh, I have a stutter. I mentioned that a few stories back, but you probably didn't think much of it, right?

I got that impediment when I fell from the top of an old bunk bed that didn't have rails. I mean, it had rails after we bought some from a store that said they work. One night, I must've put too much weight on it and it snapped and down I fell. It said not to put too much weight on it, but I was like 4, how much weight could I possibly have? Obviously enough to make a bed rail break.

I wouldn't have minded if I had just fallen on the floor, I probably wouldn't have even woken up, but we had a wood coffee table up against the pillar where my head was. When I rolled off, I hit the inside of my ear, by the cartilage, on the very corner of it. I mean, how much precision was there for me to hit the inside of my ear on a table that was 1 x 1 foot. The railing company definitely got a 2 star rating. It would've been 1, but it had a nice print on it.

Anyhow, making friends when you can't even get a sentence out no matter how hard you try is very difficult when you're at a vulnerable age. 5th graders are brutal if I'm being completely honest. Especially since teachers ask questions and pick the students who obviously don't want to talk, to answer them. Most of the students who heard my stutter would mock it and bring it up if I was picked to answer a question or when I would present.
