Skye's POV

I got out of the car and so did Ethan. We started walking. I had my arms crossed.

"So..." Ethan had his hands in his pockets. I can't believe him.

"I'm going to make this as straight to the point as I can. I don't want to be stuck with you more than I'm supposed to." I face him. He licks his lips and nods.

"When you left Mia you didn't just leave her, you left me. We where friends and I thought that just because you and Mia broke up, it didn't mean that you and I could stop being friends." I swallowed and looked up at him. His face was soft like if he really cared about what I was saying, I doubted it though. "But you obviously didn't care about our friendship because you would just ignore me."

He was down looking at me. Staring into my eyes. "I'm really sorry about that."

"Well, don't be it's too late anyways." I started to walk back to the car but he wasn't following, he just stood there. "Are you going to come, or...? Cause I really need you to take me home."

He shook his head and threw me his keys, I caught them but I was confused. "Take them. I want to stay a little more so you can drive home or stay. I'm pretty sure Mia doesn't want to see my face, anyways."

I continued towards the car. "Try not to crash it." He told me. "I'll try." I teased. "I'll go get it later."

I got home to find Mia on the couch. "Where have you been? You had me worried sick. Why weren't you answering your calls?" I realized that I had left my phone at Ethan's. She hugged me but I didn't hug back. "What's wrong?"

I just stood there, her arms wrapped around me, "I don't know, where were you? You just left without telling me. I was drunk Mia, something could've happened to me. You're lucky Ethan brought me to his house."

She backed back and looked at me, "Ethan? Did that dickhead do anything to you?"

"No. He didn't. He was... Nice. He's changed, Mia."

"Him? Changed? Now that's a good joke."

"Whatever." I headed to my room trying to get some time to myself.

"I'm sorry, Skye. I shouldn't have left you. It won't happen again."

Sorry. I keep hearing that word today.

A few hours had passed and Ethan still hadn't picked up his car. As strange as it sounds, I was starting to worry. I kept on staring at the window trying to spot if he was coming. I wasn't trying to stalk him. I just didn't have my phone, and how else would I know he was here without Mia finding out?

That's when I heard something fall. It was Ethan. I rushed outside. Ethan was sprawled on the floor. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Umm... A little help please?" He was laughing as well.

I helped him up. He shook off the dirt on his pants and shirt.

"Where you stalking me?" He questioned, a smile on his face. His hair was even messier now. It really took all I had to not fix it.

"Don't flatter yourself, Dolan. I don't have my phone with me, left it at your place."

"That explains all the unread messages."

I nod. "Can I pass by your place to get my phone now? I can wait for tomorrow."

"No, come now. Have you had dinner? I don't know how to cook but Grayson's cooking something. If you want to stay."

"That sounds great."

"I'll drive you."

"Sure let me just give Mia a heads up that I won't be home for dinner." I twist the doorknob and bit my lip. I would probably regret the next thing I said. "Ok."

"What?" He was confused. "Ok, I'll give you a second chance."

He grinned. That grin was the most contagious and beautiful thing ever. I grinned back.
