I nod slowly "mhmm.." i stop and bend down, only to realise the path had stopped a dew minutes ago and that we has just been wandering aimlessly in unknown areas
"Oh." I say, however it took a while for Nuada to notice.
"Ohhh..." he said when he finally did "so were lost? Great!" He frustratedly sighs and plonks himself down and the roots of a tree, leaning back and lying within the itchy green, almost dying grass.
"What's wrong with you?" I say calmly "what happened to your positivity, eh?" I come and sit by him.
"Nothing.." he sighs again, "i guess i'm just tired after the recent events.."

I nod and look to the sky. Without a doubt, the sky seemed to be dimming.
"Is it that time of day already? Is that how long we've been out here for..?"
Nuada sits up and shrugs. He takes off the backpack that now seems a lot lighter than before and rummages around in it. The items in the bag consists of more scratchy clothing, old boots, metal flasks for water which clank around as he manages to fish out two scrunched up sleeping bags, one of which having a hole in. These where softer than the clothes we wore and insulated with balls of cotton covered by a silky material.
"Wait- whoa, we're not staying here, Ada." I exclaim, calling him by his nickname "can't we just find a cave or something? Surely that's a safer option.." my breath became shaky as i began to worry about the circumstances.
"No one knows where this place is and were deep in the forest. You know that no one dares to enter this place. Not ever." Nuada puts a hand on my shaking one and squeezes it to reassure me. I look him, take a deep breath and smile
"yeah, okay. But if anything happens im blaming you." I laugh and take my sleeping bag  under a shady part of a different tree which is more out of sight from where we strayed off of the track as i lay it out on a soft patch of grass and climb in, Nuada comes over and sets his sleeping bag on the other side of the tree with me still being in view in case of anything going wrong.
It was dark, around 9.30 PM by the time i managed to persuaded Nuada to use his arm as a pillow and by 10 i was already asleep.
Nuada must have stayed up later to make sure nothing was going to attack us because a few times i had a clunk from his bag that woke me up a few times during the night when he went to grab water from his flask. But i didn't take long for me to fall back asleep.
