Head pounding, ears ringing, eyes blurry. I awake on something soft with what looks like a face hovering over mine. I blink rapidly a few times before finally coming to my senses... "Trix.. Trixie?!" I yell, scrambling up from the bed and to the wall of the tepee it was pushed against.
"whoa, whoa, whoa!" Nuada calls as he rushes to my side and places a comforting hand on my arm "it's okay, just take it easy, Eli."
Looking around, i find intricate drawings on the tepee walls and the gas lanterns and made from an iron material. the area of the tepee seems larger than any other that we saw before walking into the campsite and so it is obvious that this is either the leaders tent, or perhaps a med bay as suggested by the metal cabinets labelled with medicinal names.
"So.. You're not just a little girl with no family then." i blurt out after i had settled down and take the cup of water that Ada had politely offered me, feeling the refreshing liquid run down my throat.
Trixie looked as though she were about to cry.. or maybe as though she already had been?
"I've explained it all to Nuada, Elianna. I'm sure he can-"
"No! You tell me. Now!" i cut in angrily. "You've deceived me this entire time and only now, when we get to some dumb village that you probably led us to do we get an explanation. I better start hearing some answers or consider yourself abandoned!"
Nuada had never heard her so angry and takes a step away in surprise, almost shock.
"Eli..." He said cautiously "Just listen to what she has to say, okay? Take a few breathes."
Trixie sighs as she plonks herself down with a soft thud onto a nearby wooden chair.
"Okay. Here goes nothing..." She begins, "So, you guys are looking for the blood -stone and basically... I am it." before Eli could interrupt, Nuada shoves his hand over her mouth and she silently protests. Trixie sighs, "Yeah.. I found the stone in the cave that you guys were meant to be going to and saw a podium made of white gold in the middle of a moat i guess you could say, however i had no way of getting there and so... i just jumped down into the water below and found that the podium had shrunk to my level. Seems like only the bravest of hearts could've gotten to it. Um, anyway.. I picked up the stone and held it up to the single light beam that illuminated the cave and it- well, i dunno it melted into my head and travelled through my arms and into my head. ever since then I've been able to "activate" i suppose you could say, this trange power and use it any way i like. Back at the fight you saw me and at my most dangerous level, if i hadn't of come out of it when i did.. who know's what i would have done. Normally it' just small blue flickers of light that run up my arms that's hardly noticeable but when my emotions get in the way of them, the crystal is visible and so are the markings it leaves behind."
My mouth hung open after Nuada had removed his hand quite sometime ago.
"So, What you're saying is that you are literally the bloodstone?" Eli questions, "You're saying that you.. absorbed this stone and now you hold the entire universe's supply of magic?!" I stage-shout and Nuada flicks me
"Will you be quiet?" he asks me and rolls his eyes and she nudges him with her elbow in response.
"Yeah pretty much.." Trixie finally responds.
"Then... What do we do now. We've found the bloodstone and if the myzers don't know what happened then.. surely we have to tell them?" I look between Nuada and Trixie in a confused manner.
