As promised to our parents, the four of us received detention for the next week, each time a different assignment from cleaning the trophy room to scrubbing the dungeon floors clean with hand sized brushes. Today was our last day and I was dreading it completely not wanting to go as we slowly walked down to Filch's office.
"I'm totally dreading tonight!" Albus exclaimed with a bored look and I looked over to him slightly.
"I think all of us are dreading tonight Al." I stated with the same miserable expression on all of our faces.
"We're totally doing another prank aren't we?" Scorpius asked as we reached the door to Filch's office.
"Definitely!" Belle and I said in unison as Al knocked on the wooden door and waited. Suddenly the door swung open a revealed a pleased looked Filch with his crazy grin and evil looking eyes.
"Ready for another night of detention?" He asked in his cracking voice.
"No!" We said in unison in the same bored voice and miserable face. He laughed lightly and smirked.
"Too bad. Well come on follow me!" He said before walk-limping with a lit lantern in his hand as we headed out of the castle and towards Hagrids hut where he was sitting down on a stump and messing with a crossbow. I looked at my friends with a confused look and they shrugged their shoulders as a way of telling me I don't know either.
"Here you go Hagrid. All yours for tonight!" Filch said and pushed us towards the giant man. I gave Filch a glare which he ignored as him and Hagrid talked before he gave us one last look and left towards the castle, leaving us with Hagrid and his dog Fang.
"Well yer' coming with me tonight. Per'fessor Slughorn wants me ter' look for some ingredients for tomorrows lesson. Come along and stay close to me, don't want yer' to get lost in there now do we?" He said with raised eyebrows before sighing heavily and walking towards the forbidden forest with his crossbow locked and ready in his giant hands. With one scared look at each we slowly trailed beside Hagrid with Albus holding a lantern to light our path. I hugged at my sided and shivered as the wind blew cold wind our way making dead leaves fly up around us. Fog surround us creating a eerie scene as we traveled deeper into the forest, Belle and I had our arms linked together in an attempted to warm each up. Suddenly a wolf howled in the distance making Belle and I hugged each other tightly starting in the direction of the howl. Albus laughed at us earning a glare from us, he suddenly ran into a outstretched branch that looked like claws and screamed loudly before realizing what it actually was. Belle and I burst out laughing before being hushed by Hagrid and earning an icy glare from Albus.
"Hagrid we got all the ingredients except for a freshly picked loctus!" Scorpius explained looking down from the piece of parchment that contained the list of ingredients that we had to get. It had been about two hours of being in the dreadful forest and our eyes were heavy with sleep. What seemed like forever, we finally obtained all the ingredients and made our way back to the castle. Suddenly a herd of men with horse bottoms stopped in front of us with bows drawn and pointed at us. One of them stepped out and looked at Hagrid.
"Why are you here Hagrid? You know the forest belongs to us and trepassers are to be punished." The centaur stated with the stomp of his hoof. I rolled my eyes and sighed loudly making the centaur look at me.
"Can you please just let us pass. I've been out here for three long hours and I'm tired as heck. Now get out of my way before I make you!" I said charging up to him before being stopped by Hagrid's arm and I growled wanting to show him a piece of my mind. The centaur walked backwards at my outburst and my friends were trying hard to hide their snickering. The centaur gave me one last look before turning to his head.
"Let us leave these humans. Be warned Hagrid, next time we meet might not be as pleaseant." He warned before they disappeared off into the distance. With a sigh and a glare at me we made our way back to the castle where I took no time in rushing to my dorm and putting on my pajamas and falling onto my comfortable bed and falling asleep with exhaustion.
What a night!
I thought before falling into a deep sleep and was probably snoring.
