In the morning, Ben woke up and looked at Danny.
“Man…”-He smiled-“I had the most terrible dream ever last night!”-Danny looked to the floor.-“I dreamt that Kat had an overdose! Can you believe this?”-He laughed.
“Ben…”-Danny bit his lip. He was trying to find a way to tell Ben the truth without hurting him but how do you tell someone the one they love almost died without hurting them?-“It wasn’t a dream…”
“What?! She had an overdose?!”
“Yeah, she’s still sleeping… Cam called half of an hour ago. Nothing happened…”
“Fuck!”-Ben punched his pillow.-“Let’s go. I want to be there when she wakes up.”
“Ben, we should stay here. You’re going to get in trouble there…”
“No, yesterday I was drunk, okay? I’m fine now. Let’s go.”-They got in the car and went to the hospital.
The guys looked terrible. Richard and James were still sleeping. Mike and Cam’s eyes were red from all the crying. Sam and John were staring at an empty wall.
“Morning.”-Danny whispered and put a hand on Cam’s shoulder.-“How are you, man?”-Cam didn’t answer. He took his hand out of his shoulder. Danny sighted but didn’t say a word about it.-“What about you, Mike?”
“Kat’s my baby sister… I’m a fucking wreck!”
“C’mon guys!”-Ben screamed. James and Richard almost fell out of their chairs.-“You can’t be so negative! Kat’s strong! I’m not even worried about her. I know she’ll be okay. Now, you all should go home. Danny and I will stay here and we’ll let you know if anything happens.”
“You’re right.”-James, Richard, Sam and John got up. They were really exhausted.
“You both should go too.”-Ben said to Cam and Mike.
“I’m not going anywhere.”-Mike said.
“I’m not going to let you stay, especially not you, Cam.”
“I have to stay.”-He whispered.
“Don’t you trust me? Then go home. Danny will give you a call if she wakes up.”
“Promise?”
“Of course, Cam!”-Danny said and then he got up and left.-“You should go too, Mike.”
“Look, if she wakes up and you don’t call me, I swear to God, I’ll kill you!”
“We have a deal.”-Danny smiled. He left too. There was only Danny and Ben. –“I hope she’ll be okay…”
“You don’t even imagine how fucking scared I am… I told the guys I wasn’t but, Hell! I can’t even function as a normal human being!”
“That’s because you’re not. You’re Jesus, remember?”-Danny smiled.
“Oh, right!”-Ben smiled too.
When the moon raised in the sky, the boys went to the hospital again. There was no news about Kat.
“So, how’s she?”-Cam asked, much calmer.
“I have no idea.”-Danny answered.
“What do you mean?”
“No one told us anything…”-Cam sighted. They all sat down and spent another night at the hospital. In the morning, Ben lost it.
“Enough! This is fucking mean! You just leave us here without news… I want to know about Kat right fucking now!”-He said to some nurse.
