"We have to get you out of here, Felicity. We don't have much time," Katherine said while grabbing my arm and walking me out of the room.
Dimitrius stayed behind us in case anything happened. In my mind, I did not know what to do. Of course, my longing for the vampires would be gone if I came back with them but what would happen with the witches?
They did not treat me in any way that made me want to run away from them so it wouldn't be fair if I just disappear. On the other hand, they were also the first ones who took me away from where I was a week ago.
Genevieve, Amara, and Odette, they became close friends with me, they treated me like their own daughter. My family and some of the other friends I made in this territory were also some of the reasons why I'm having second thoughts before leaving.
So I stopped Katherine from dragging me further and turned to face Dimitrius' frown. "It would not be fair," I told them which they answered with the word, "nonsense."
"Taking me away will create a war between your kind and theirs. I'm sure we can talk this out with them, Dimitrius." I told him but he shrugged it off.
"They were the ones who took you first, Felicity. Don't think that I'm the one being unfair," he said and grabbed my hand once more. Too late, Jonathan already woke up and we could hear his frantic screams.
"Felicity's gone!" He shouted and like a lightning, Odette and her people appeared, surrounding all of us. Hundreds of them against the three of us, we were outnumbered.
One of the witches used a spell to place a barricade throughout the whole territory. There's no escape at all. Dimitrius stood in front of me as if trying to protect me and Katherine stood behind me, shielding me from any harm.
"Let go of her!" The witches protested but if anything, it made Dimitrius and Katherine hold onto me tighter. I didn't know if Dimitrius felt it but as soon as his hands grabbed me, I felt what seemed like a shoot of electricity.
"It didn't have to come to this, Odette," Dimitrius spoke and I wondered what he was talking about but then, all of his vampires came and they were all ready for a fight.
I recognized most of them including Hayden. What struck me the most was that they didn't show an ounce of fear as to what the sorcerers could do to them. They were ready for war but was it really the solution?
"You failed to protect her, vampire king," Genevieve mocked while giving emphasis to his title. Dimitrius did not fail to protect me from any harm because I'm standing here, alive.
"I would have felt it if Felicity were in any harm, Genevieve. You took her away from me and you gave her a potion to block my connection to her, didn't you, Odette?" He answered back. So how did they find me if I was poisoned to be hidden?
"We all know that she would not be safe if she stays behind your walls, Dimitrius. For all we know, some of your vampires are Dominic's servants," Amara butted in.
The three of them against Dimitrius didn't stop arguing until I have had enough. If there was someone to put a stop to this, it is me. How can they stand in front of me, fighting to whom I should stay with, acting as if I could not hear a thing?
Vampires and witches are too protective of from the prophecy but for myself to prove that I am not weak and easy to manipulate, I must stand for myself.
"Stop!" I yelled and got everyone's attention turned to me. I stepped out of Dimitrius and Katherine's grip and took a moment to see the scene in front of me.
Witches and vampires facing each other, ready to attack and kill. They were supposed to maintain peace among themselves yet by a simple complication, they were all ready to let go of that serenity.
