Third Person's Point of View

The room was filled with growls, screams, and different voices of joy. Defeated, slaughtered, and torn into pieces, that was Seraphina's fate. No one took mercy of her deceased body as everyone destroyed her like a piece of garbage, which is who she really is.

It was so chaotic that no one noticed Felicity, dozing in and out of her consciousness. Fighting an immortal creature was not anything close to capable for Felicity's body yet with all the strength she had, she fought without backing down.

Felicity needed to be strong for herself, for the vampires, and for her mate. She took every blow and punch from the spiteful creature and despite the agonizing pain, she stood back up and did not surrender.

Thanks to all the sorceresses that taught her how to fight, she knew how to defeat Seraphina in her own art of war. Felicity didn't fight hard, she fought smarter. Knowing how Seraphina's magic works, she knew that she purposely switched her soul with Dimitrius' in an attempt to kill her.

But Felicity loved the game.

She played with her, convinced her enough that Felicity believed that it was Dimitrius who is about to end her life. Didn't she know that for the short time she has gotten to know her mate, one thing she was always sure of,

Dimitrius would rather die than kill his own mate.

The battle ended with a victory in everyone else's part excluding two dreadful monsters, Dominic and Seraphina. It was a shame they never got to know each other, the moon goddess was kind enough to pair them as a mate. One monstrous vampire and a horrid succubus which is now meeting in hell.

After stepping back, Felicity lost her senses and fell to the floor with a loud thud. Or maybe that was what she thought because instead of a painful drop, she fell into a familiar pair of arms.

Wishing she could look back at him and stare at his beautiful oceanic eyes, she sighed in defeat and leaned into his touch while slowly giving in to the stars that invaded her sight.

"Mary!" Dimitrius screamed, not knowing what was happening to his mate. His eyes landed to her neck and it was as if his words fell apart. "No, no, no!" He growled.

Mary rushed to his daughter's side and caressed her face, softly pleading for her to wake up. Meanwhile, Dimitrius shook in distress, his eyes couldn't believe what was happening.

"Dimitrius, " Katherine called out, hoping to take her brother away from Felicity. It was one of the worst things that could ever happen. No one knew how to calm down their king because he was slowly fuming with rage.

"Her mark is disappearing!" Dimitrius growled.

Was it all part of the spell that Seraphina played? Felicity's mark held the bond between Dimitrius and herself but with it, disappearing also meant all their memories fading away and worse, she could forget everything about Dimitrius.

Dimitrius didn't let any second to pass before he brought his mate closer to him and bit her neck in an attempt to keep the mark.

"Stop!" Genevieve screamed and tried to use her magic against Dimitrius' force. It was a lethal plan that he wanted to do, bite her neck to keep the bond yet it can also trigger the beast inside of him.
