Music Camp 2: Diving Deep (Shawn Mendes)|Complete

Chapter 7

July 1st:
Today... it came so damn fast. None of us were prepared for the awful things to come. Shawn and I were not prepared to teach Piano and Guitar. I was to teach my class first, which was guitar. About 30 minutes later, my students were suppose to be in Piano and his were suppose to be with me. I hope today goes as planned.

I got out of bed, heading straight to the bathroom. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. Today, I aspired for something different. I put on jean shorts and I also put on a hunter green shirt. I then slipped on a pair of white converse. I went back out into Shawn and I's room to see Shawn just waking up.

"Hey Shawn. How did you sleep?"

"I slept amazingly. I'm even better now since I've seen your face"he said. I took off my shoes and laid down. We wrapped up under the warm covers and just laid there for about 20 minutes.

"Shawn, we need to get up. We have classes we need to teach"

"Shit! I forgot about that"

"I had a feeling you would of. That's why I'm reminding you. You're teaching piano and I'm teaching guitar. Good Luck" I told him as I left our cabin. I headed down to the dining hall where Jasmine and Luke were.

"Are you ready to teach your classes today?"

"Maybe, I'm nervous though. I'm afraid none of the kids are going to like me" Jasmine said.

"That's ok. Shawn isn't ready either"

"Speaking of Shawn, where is he?"

"I left him in the cabin to get ready"

"Shit! Haley, you can't do that" Luke said.

"And why not"

"She doesn't know" Jasmine said as she looked over in Lukes direction.

"Haley, last year when you couldn't be here, Shawn stayed with us. We left him alone one morning and he took half a bottle of Tylenol. We learned that we can't leave him alone"
They told me.

"I wish you would have told me this sooner!!!!" I said.

I raced back to the cabin with Jasmine and Luke by my side. We walked in and yelled "Shawn!!"

We got no reply. Luke walked into the bathroom. Before he even came out, I had tears running down my face. Luke came out and told us Shawn had done it again and that we needed to call an ambulance right away.

Jasmine and Luke headed out. The paramedics got Shawn and I was left in our room by myself. I locked the door. I sat there and cried for 20 minutes. If I would have known that, I wouldn't have left him. I went to to the guitar room and taught kids the guitar. It was kind of lonely without Shawn there.
I can't believe he did that. He was so stressed out. I should have been there for him. It's my fault I wasn't. Jasmine and I headed to lunch. It was kind of bland. After that, I went for a stroll to the lake.
"Hey!" Someone said from behind me.

"Who goes there?" I asked

"Hi. My name is Spencer. I'm Shawn's younger brother. I heard what happened and I wanted to make sure you were ok"
