|Jaebum|
When we picked up Jinyoung and Mark, I watched as they smiled and laughed with Jackson. They conversed about their summers, memories and wishes for senior year.
And that's when it hit me.
I just realized that we were Seniors, and this is our last year of being "reckless teenagers". We'll be heading off to college in a couple months, maybe trying to maintain a job or maybe even a lover. Probably forgetting about the friendships we had here in high school and finding some old co-workers as our new buddies.
And of course, I couldn't find this sad. I don't really know why.
I've never known why.
"- and he did that stupid dance! Remember, Jaebum?" Mark, who was sitting next to me, slaps my arm as he laughs. His dark gray hair falls in front of his crescent shaped eyes, his white teeth showing through soft pink lips.
I wasn't really listening so I take out one earbuds and raise an eyebrow to seem interested.
"Huh?"
They all sigh.
"You weren't listening again. You are always spacing out, man." Jackson whines as we pull into the school parking lot. Memories flood my mind, some of them good, some of them bad.
Girls were waiting around our usual parking spot, like always. They adore us. They come at us with compliments and confessions, but we always decline.
Can't they see how gay my friends are? They can't hide it for shit.
I mean, the three in the car with me are practically dating. Since middle school they've been close, always touching or sharing things. I've gotten used to all the PDA at this point.
And me?
I've never really shown any interest in dating, or even getting to know someone like that. Of course, I wish I can experience the high school flings and all that comes with them, but when it comes to actually feeling anything...
It's just not possible for me.
Jackson parks away from our usual parking space, hoping to avoid the mob of drooling teenage girls. "Looks like we'll have to run, boys." Jinyoung mumbles, a sigh leaving out his nose.
We get out of the car and with lots of struggling, pulling and whining, finally make it to the entrance of the school.
Now walking through the quiet courtyard, we relax our bodies and sigh with relief.
"I don't know how you guys manage to survive all that. We usually take the back entrance." A familiar voice chuckles.
We turn our heads to see our friend Seokjin, and his boyfriend Namjoon. "Ayeeeee! Long time no see!" Jackson squeals, rushing to push himself between the couple. He puts his arms over their shoulders and smiles.
"How was your guys' summer?" Mark asks, holding on to Jinyoung's arm with a soft smile on his face. I shake my head and start to walk away.
God. If I see one more couple, I'm going to lose it.
"Hey fucks!" Another voice calls, this time it's more high pitched. I look up to see our youngest friends in the group, Bambam and Yugyeom.
Oh my fucking-
We greet the boys, and instantly engage in conversations. The boy's hug Jackson and Mark, and simply stick their tongues out at Jinyoung.
"Ayo, Jaebum hyung! You actually showed up on the first day." Bambam, who I may say is pretty chill, wraps his arm around my shoulders. His white hair brushing against my face as we sorta hug.
"I really had no choice." I mumble, glaring at Jackson who hides behind Yugyeom. The yellow haired boy doesn't say anything, he's used to being used as a wall.
We only just met Yugyeom and BamBam last year. They started a huge ass food fight in the cafeteria and got all 6 of us in trouble. Since then, we've been pretty close friends.
They all laugh and continue talking. I'm getting kinda tired standing here so I start walking towards the school's entrance. But after only a few steps, I feel a hand grab my arm.
"Wait, hyung, we need to introduce someone." I hear Yugyeom say, a smile evident in his tone.
I just want to be somewhere quiet.
I turn around and let Yugyeom drag me back to the group. Jinyoung is shaking hands with someone as BamBam talks.
We stop in front of the new male, a sigh leaving my mouth as I look down at my phone. I'm just gonna say hello and leave like I usually do, I'll probably never talk to him again anyway.
"This is the hyung I was talking about." I look up from my phone and fake a smile quickly, my eyes closing slightly as I force my cheeks to move up.
The new male turns around, he has an adorable smile on his face. White pearly straight teeth showing through plump pink lips. His eyes are crinkled into crescents and his cheeks are puffed up as he giggles at something Bambam had just said.
His dirty blonde hair is lightly curled, and it reflects the sun onto his olive skin. He wears
a light pink colored hoodie with white pants and converse. He has some rings on his fingers and a long necklace with an otter emblem on his neck. And his laugh, his oddly addictive laugh. If only I could record it and listen to it on repeat.
I feel like the world was standing still, everything around me completely frozen as I watch him in slow motion.
His whole body shook as he giggles, he bends forward a little and pulls on his long sleeves, like a little child.
I feel my smile fade away, my mind and heart going a 100 miles. My stomach also starts to feel weird.
Maybe that apple wasn't enough?
He slowly stops giggling, looks me in the eyes and smiles. Dumbstruck, I open my mouth to speak. But then, I feel my heart skip a beat.
It's never done that before.
My hand starts to twitch so I pull it back, tapping my chest a little. This is very new to me, and it's very weird.
