|Third Person|

The week went by fast. Faster than Jaebum had hoped.

Because today is Friday. The neighborhood cookout is going to take place in the Im household, and Jaebum simply isn't ready.

Mentally ready. "Feeling" ready.

He knows that the party is for the new neighbors, which happen to be Youngjae and his parents. And Youngjae happens to be the cause of his new "emotions".

Which he didn't like feeling.

He's been emotionless since the day he was born, and these new feelings have ruined his first week of school. (Not like he really cared)

Taking a sigh, Jaebum places his phone down on his nightstand and sits up in his bed. Ignoring the loads of messages from his parents.

Today's the day.

He spends the next few hours cleaning the house and his room, knowing that Jackson and Jinyoung will be coming as well.

He finally finishes cleaning the house and decides to wash up. Trying his hardest to not think about later tonight, because images of Youngjae would flash into his mind.

Images of the younger smiling, images of the younger staring back at him, loads and loads of images.

Jaebum quickly changes the water temperature to cold.

All week was dedicated to getting Youngjae out of his mind, to help stop the feelings that come with the said boy. And yet here he was, thinking about him in every way possible.

After his shower, he wraps a towel around his waist and walks out of the bathroom and towards his closest. He grabs a red button up shirt, along with some black jeans and an old pair of converse. It was casual but also formal.

Walking back into the bathroom, he decides he should look a little more presentable, and gels his hair back. It wasn't like he was going to stay at the party, he just knew his parents wouldn't want him looking like a bum.

Fixing some misplaced hairs, he hears his front door open.

"Jaebum?" His mother's voice, "Can you come downstairs, please?"

Reluctantly, he leaves his room and goes down the stairs. Expecting to see only his parents, he lazily steps onto the last step, glancing at the living room with bored eyes.

Which open wide when he see's three other people in the room.

Youngjae and his parents.

There they stood, in his living room, all dressed up and almost too perfect looking. Except for the large black eye Youngjae was wearing on his face.

He looks away from the younger when his mother speaks up, "These are the Choi's. I'm sure you would've seen Youngjae around school, if you actually went." She glares at her son with some disappointment.

"Anyways, while the adults get to know each other, why don't you show him to your room?" His father grumbles, taking his arm out to lead Youngjae towards the stairs.

Youngjae stares at Jaebum with wide helpless eyes. Jaebum notices the stare and instantly turns around, and starts walking up the stairs.

When he didn't hear any footsteps behind him, he turns around and lifts a brow at the younger. "Coming?" The younger nods, clumsily shuffling closer to the older.

He follows him upstairs and finally into the elder's room.

|Jaebum|

I'm sure Youngjae feels awkward.

I let him walk into my room and close the door behind us. I try my hardest to not look at him as I plop down onto my bed. I then grab my phone from off my nightstand and turn it on.

He stands by my door, his hands pulling on his sweater paws. And yes, he is wearing a really cute baby blue sweater with some jeans that fit his thighs.. really nicely-

WAIT.

"What happened to your face?" I cough out, looking back down at my phone. I go through my messages, and don't bother to actually read them.

"Uh- I fell."

I turn off my phone and look up at him, and this time, he avoids my eyes. I raise an eyebrow but brush the lie off. I'm not one to pry.

"Um, are you feeling better?" He asks, shuffling towards my bed. I watch as he sits awkwardly on the farthest corner, his body turning slightly to face me.

I look at his face and feel my heart squeeze. That black eye must hurt a lot...

"Yeah I'm feeling better now, though I missed a lot of school work." No, I've been fine. But now my heart is hurting again because of you.

"That's good." He laughs softly to himself. Then I hear my phone go off, I look down at it and see a message from Jackson and not even a few seconds later, my door bursts open.

"Daddy's here!" I look over to see Jackson standing at the doorway with a bright smile. "Oh! Youngjae's already here too!" He exclaims while rushing over to Youngjae ruffle his hair, but then stops to gasp.

"What happened to your face? Your pretty, beautiful, adorable face?" He asks, cupping Youngjae's cheeks delicately. I feel my stomach doing flips again.

AGAIN!

"He fell, Jackson. Stop touching him." I say, unintentionally. I can feel my face go hot when they both stare at me. Jackson takes his hands away and flops down onto the bed with us.

"Jinyoung is on his way, and when he gets here we can leave to go to the park." He says with a sigh. I look at Youngjae and notice a small smile making its way onto his face.

And I can't help but smile as well.
