Chapter 16

-Thomas' POV-
I was busy doing my paperwork when I heard a knock at the door.
"Amelia could you go get that please."
"Sure thing sir."
She came back with Philip Hamilton.
"Ah, Philip Hamilton, what brings you here?"
"May I speak to you sir?"
"Uh, sure."
Amelia left the room and Philip took a seat in the chair across from me.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?"
I could tell he was nervous, why? It not like his going to ask for me permission to marry my daughter ha ha.
"Mr. Jefferson sir, I would like to ask for your blessing to court your daughter."
My jaw drops while I drop my pen.
I finally snap back to reality.
"What?!"
"I would like to court you daughter sir."
"I heard you, I'm just shocked. I'm not sure if I allow you to....."
"Mr. Jefferson, I love with (Y/N) with all my heart, she is my world, my angel, my goddess, my queen. Without her, I would be nothing. She is what keeps me alive, because I know without her, I would not be able to survive. So please, let me court you lovely daughter (Y/N) please, I promise to give her the best life she could ever hope for."
I sniffed, that was so kind, my daughter finally found someone "Well, Philip Hamilton, I am very touched. So touched that I will allow you to court my daughter."
"Thank you so much sir! I promise I will not let her or you down!"
"Remember this Philip Hamilton, if you hurt my little darlin, I will rip your heart out." I said sternly.
He gulped "I promise sir that I will never stop loving her, if I do hurt her, you and (Y/N) have every right to hurt me."
I nodded.
"You may go."
"Thank you sir."
-Philip's POV-
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I get into the carriage and hurry home.
I burst inside and yell at the top of my lungs[thank goodness (Y/N) wasn't here, she was hanging out with Theodosia Burr] "I, Philip Hamilton is going to ask (Y/N) to marry me!"
Everyone looked at me. My ma was so happy to hear the news so was Ange and my little brothers.
"I knew you were gonna ask her!" William shouts.
"Oh son! I'm so proud of you!" Ma says hugging me.
"Ange joined the hug, (Y/N) is going to be my sister in law!"
"If she says yes that is. Which, I'm sure she will." Pops says walking in.
"Thanks pops, and every one for your support."
"When are you going to ask her?" AJ asks
"I'm hoping soon, maybe tomorrow, or the day after. I want to do something special for her."
"I have an idea." Pops says.
