Manan - The Tale of Nerd and Smart Chic .

Chapter - 8

5th January 2018 . 10:00 a.m.

Today is Manik's last day of vacation. He will be leaving by evening in flight to Pune. He wanted use the most of the day fruitfully. After completing his pending works and packing everything for his trip , he called his few friends and thought of spending the day watching movie and with good food. Manik sometimes used to party and enjoy his life to the fullest . So, his family never had problems with his routine. 

Hard Rock Cafe , Park Street , 8:00 p.m.

Manik and his friends were partying hard. They were having variety of drinks and also chit-chatting. After sometime there occurred a heated argument in the cafe . Manik thought of knowing the matter. So, he insisted his friends too to accompany him. The scene he saw was little shocking . Two boys were trying to misbehave with Nandini and Navya. He saw Navya for the first time but he remembered Nandini's face well. Nandini was totally drunk and the two boys were flirting and touching their bodies in unwanted way. Navya was scared but Nandini was arguing and trying to move from that place. Rest of the public was watching the scene. They crossed all the limits when Navya's top sleeves got torn.  This made Manik furious and literally fight started. 

Manik :- "How dare you touch her"?

Boys :- "Oh..Mister! Get lost. I have seen many lovers like you. If you want to be alive , just get lost."

Manik and his friends started beating them black and blue. One of the boys was having knife. He scratch Manik's hand from behind and blood was oozing continuously. Many people to save themselves left the pub when fight was going on. After about 10 minutes the boys were badly injured and somehow saved themselves to be alive. Manik's friends immediately called ambulance and took him to hospital. Nandini and Navya were in a shock state. Nandini recognized one of Manik's friend and told him that she immediately wants to meet Manik. She ran to hospital and entered the ward Manik's dressing was going on. 

Nandini :-"Doctor I am Manik's friend. Is everything fine ?"

Doctor :- "Yes Madam . Just a cut and I have done the dressing. So, now you can take him home but make sure minimum movement of this hand at least 1 month or else it will take long time to completely recover."

Nandini :- "Sure Doctor."

As soon as the Doctor left Nandini immediately hugged Manik. She didn't move a bit and was hugging Manik as if she is last time seeing him. At first Manik got shocked on her reaction to this incident still he reciprocated.He understood Nandini's actual nature. 

Manik :- "Nandini ! Are you fine"?

Nandini :- "Yes. I am sorry Manik".

Manik :-  "Relax. Now, everything is fine and any gentleman cannot see harassment of women. It's my duty to save people in these situations."

Nandini :- "Thanks. I will never forget today what you did for me and my Bestie Navya."

For sometime they forgot that they are strangers. Both were just looking each other as if they know each other since ages. Their eye contact broke when Manik's friends and Navya came inside.

Navya was extremely impressed by Manik's personality. She is grateful for what Manik did for both the friends. It was around 9:30 p.m. So, one of Manik's friend drops both the friends in their home and Manik went to his home with the other friend. Finally, everyone was happy that they ultimately handled the situation well.
