Chapter - 9

Manik immediately went home from hospital. His battery was down. So , he couldn't speak to his family. Approximately after an hour Manik reached home and his car was in one of his friend's home. 

Nyonika :- "Manik ! Are you fine Beta. Your phone is unreachable . Today at 12:30 a.m. you have flight. Your packing is completed."

Nyonika was telling him in a flow but after sometime she noticed Manik's hand and asked him about the injury. Manik told her the whole incident and also said that he has message Mr. Arun to cancel his flight as he cannot reach Pune today. 

Manik :- "Don't worry Mom. I am fine. Doctor said to take one month rest for complete fitness but I will make sure to get well as soon as possible."

Nyonika :- "Thank God that you are fine. You know Manik I was so worried and your phone was also not reachable. You should have full charge in your phone."

Manik :- "Sorry Mom. From next time I will be cautious."

Nyonika :- "Okay and we all are there for you. You will be fine soon Beta."

Basically Manik was very particular about his health, job and family. Any disturbances in these 3 things in life makes him worry a lot. Within these 2 years of his service he has hardly taken any leave but this time he has to take rest for a month. So, his Boss didn't have any issue with this.

Manik talked with his sister in phone and she assured him that she will manage everything in Pune and will also get good result in exams. After Mr. Arun returned from office everybody had dinner. Nyonika first fed food to Manik and then she and Mr. Arun had dinner. All were happy that finally Manik is safe and his parents also warned him not to take such risks in future as it may be dangerous later. 

After about an hour Mr. Arun was awake and Nyonika was also busy in arranging some things. 

Arun :- "Nyonika ! I wanted to talk to you something."

Nyonika :- "Yes Arun."

Arun :- "Today I feel proud of my son. He is not only hardworking but also a very good person."

Nyonika :- "I know that Arun. In today's generation very few people have such genuine nature.I must say our son has grown up to be a helpful and mature person."

Arun :- "And I hope Mukti manages everything for a week. After 10 days I will call her to Kolkata."

Nyonika :- "Don't worry much about that. I have talked to her and she has assured that she will manage everything."

Both the parents were feeling proud of their children that they have grown up to become responsible persons. Their upbringing has yield good results and now they want that they have the strength to fight the obstacles and live as happy family.
