Manan - The Tale of Nerd and Smart Chic .

Chapter - 12

It's Saturday morning and fortunately everyone is relaxing in Joshi Family. Today the siblings skipped breakfast and they are sleeping till early afternoon. Mr. Arun and Nyonika have together completed all the household chores and spend quality time in the morning. As the children are there with family after a long time and that also on weekend , they didn't disturb them at all.

After an hour (around 12:15 p.m.) Manik woke up. After greeting his parents he quickly freshened up. Nyonika made sandwich for him. While taking his coffee and sandwich he was checking his social media. He saw Mukti and Nandini's post in Instagram. There were also single pics of Mukti and Nandini respectively. At first he was shocked , then he looked at those pics for a long time and liked the posts. He also saved few pictures from that album. 

Mukti :- "Good morning Bhai."

Manik :-"Good morning. Did you freshen up ?"

Mukti :- "No Bhai. Just woke up. Mom and Dad busy discussing few papers. I think they will come downstairs after sometime."

Manik :- "Okay. It's around 12:30 p.m. Go and freshen up . If mom and dad comes I will discuss we all will chit-chat."

Mukti :- "Cool."

Manik was again deeply in thoughts about Nandini. He knew that Nandini was not so much gentle and shy like him but she was not extremely bad. She was different. Now he was confirm that Mukti is the only person who can help him to know Nandini more.

Mr. Arun and Nyonika (together) :- "Good morning Beta."

Manik :- "Good morning Dad and Mom. Sorry I didn't notice you guys. When did you people come downstairs ?"

Nyonika :- "5 minutes back. That time you were in deep thoughts of something. We thought you will notice us but instead you were busy. So, thought of disturbing your thought."

Manik :- "Relax Mom. Nothing like that. "

Arun :- "Today we all are relaxing in home. I told my associate to manage the small issues in office because after a long time we all are together."

The three were chatting in the hall and then Mukti came. She greeted everyone and told Nyonika to make some special dish since many months she has not eaten her beloved Mom's hand cooked food. Nyonika agreed to fulfill her daughter's wish. Mr. Arun was discussing the plans they may execute today but Mukti interrupted and told everyone that in evening she wants to call Nandini for dinner. She told everything about Nandini to her family and they didn't hesitate at all.

Joshi's house , 8:00 p.m.

Mukti welcomes Nandini at home. She also called her parents and brother. Nandini touched the elders' feet. Manik was busy with some work in his room. So , all were gossiping in hall. After 15 minutes Manik came downstairs and both Nandini and Manik had eye contact. She was little surprised on seeing Manik there. Mukti introduced her brother with her and both the girls went to Mukti's room.

Nandini :- "Really yaar...your house is quite good."

Mukti :- "Thanks. I know we didn't met so frequently earlier but I always considered you as the most intelligent and smart senior I have come across."

Nandini :- "Thanks Mukti. By age I am your senior but we are good friends too. Isn't it ?"

Mukti :- "Sure."

Mukti took out the family album where all the pics from her parent's marriage till their school life , every moments were there. She started describing about each picture. As soon as she saw her childhood pics , she was surprised looking Manik's picture. Already, after having eye contact with Manik , she was curious about him and then she saw his pictures in family album.

Nandini :- "Mukti... Is this boy your any close family member ?"

Mukti :- "Yes. He is my elder brother , Manik. You know few people think that he is not over smart and too much genuine but we all are proud of him. He always has fair opinion. He always believes in punctuality and simplicity and also protective about his family."

Nandini was in deep thoughts and continuously staring his pics. Mukti interrupted her thoughts.

Mukti :- "Nandini .. what are you thinking..you asked about Bhai. So, I told."

Nandini :- "Sorry. I heard your opinion."

After 1/2 an hour Nyonika called them for dinner. All were vegetarian dishes and with minimum spice as possible. Manik quietly had dinner. he didn't react much looking Nandini with his family. After dinner they all clicked pics. On Nyonika and Mukti's insistence Manik also clicked pic with Nandini. Later Mukti, Manik and Nandini went to have ice cream outside. Mukti made Nandini sit beside Manik in his car. They finally told Mukti that earlier also they have met each other and that cafe incident also. On that day Mukti realized that her Bhai and Nandini like each other quite a lot.
