Manan - The Tale of Nerd and Smart Chic .

Chapter - 22

4th March , 2018.

Momo Cafe , Mumbai , 2:00 p.m.

It's a pleasant afternoon. Manik is relaxed and planned to have lunch with his office-mates. Lunch,  movie and ending the day with good note. He is an organised man but sometimes things don't accordingly our wishes.

Karan :- "Buddies . It's pleasant day . Let's make it memorable."

Arjun :- "Yes yaar.  From tomorrow again the same battle."

Manik :- "Chill guys. Today is our day."

The trio was discussing about their week's plans and generally how their daily schedule goes on with lot of laughter and fun. Suddenly Manik's eyes begin to become red in anger. The other guys were surprised watching his reaction.

A woman wearing a red gown and holding few files with one of her clients came to have lunch. She is none other than Nandini.

Rahul :- "Awesome place. Just like you."

Nandini :- "Thanks Rahul. You will feel more better after tasting the momos here."

Rahul :- "Cool and no need of formalities. Be comfortable."

Nandini :- "Sure."

Both of them ordered their dishes and continued discussing about their latest market trends in designing in a jovial mood. Nandini is smart and knew to handle all type of clients and Rahul never leaves a chance to compliment her.

Someone was irked by listening to their conversation. His friends stopped him to react publicly but he got up and walk straight and introduced himself.

Rahul :- "I think I have seen you earlier few times."

Manik :- "Achha.. Nice."

Rahul :- "You are the son of the Hotelier and Entrepreneur Mr. Arun Joshi."

Manik :- "Yeah. Your guess is correct."

Rahul :- "I am Rahul Sengupta. I know Arun uncle well. My Dad and uncle have attended many business meetings together. Nice to meet you."

Manik :- "Same here. By the way, Nandini , How are you ?"

Nandini :-"Awesome Manik. How's your life ?"

Manik :- "Good."

Nandini :- "Actually Rahul , me and Manik have met earlier once through common friends. So we know each other."

Rahul :- "Nice."

Manik :- "Are you guys busy or it's fine ?"

Nandini :- "Rahul is my client and few fashion deals we are discussing. We will talk later. Please don't mind."

Manik :- "It's okay. Continue. Bye guys."

They bid goodbye to each other. By that time food was there on Manik's table. With lot insistence from his friends Manik ate his food with least discussion with them. 

Aakashvani Apartment , 7:00 p.m.

Manik was really disturbed with Nandini's casual behavior towards him. He cannot tolerate the fact that his emotions are being played in this way. He wanted to talk clearly with Nandini once but she didn't pay any attention to that. With lot of frustration Manik msgs Nandini : "Hope you enjoyed your date Ms. Dutta. Hope we never disturb each other in future and all the best."

Nandini reached home around 5 p.m. but today she is busy arranging her room in evening. After around 2 hours she switched on the T.V. with few snacks and checking important mails and msgs in the phone. The moment she viewed Manik's message , she got surprised. She immediately called Manik but unfortunately his number was switched off and Nandini was getting pissed off.  It's been 1 hour she is trying to contact him but no use.  Nandini cried a lot after her failed attempts to contact Manik. She was guilty for being out of contact for such a long time.

Everyone has own share of ups and downs in life. Marriages are made in heaven and everything is predestined but still its essential to work hard in life for living the best moments. Both Manik and Nandini are extremely depressed about what wrong happened but there's always hope for the best which this strong moral values couple believe.
