Corianne
My parents are the last ones to leave the ball because they insist on talking to Premier Davidson for two hours. Ty's parents, along with his twin sister, Eve, and Evangeline, leave early, but Ty insists on waiting for me. I finally just tell my parents that I'm going to walk home.
Ty walks beside me silently. I begin to think about my agreement with Clara. "Do you believe that the Scarlet Guard winning the war was best?" I ask quietly. He stares at me for a moment before responding.
"I know that it was right and that my family was completely against it until close to the war's end, but yes, it was best, especially for Reds and Newbloods."
"Would you be willing to help it, if given the chance?" I ask carefully. Build a team without spreading the word. Clara told me that.
He smiles. "If you're trying to go to the Lakelands, count me in. Just don't tell anyone I'm with you."
"This is a secret operation anyways." I tell him that Clara came up with the idea and that we will move to a place called the Notch that the Scarlet Guard stayed in for a while. I also tell him to get Eve in too. He nods his head every now and again. We agree to meet at dawn on the field that separates my house from Evangeline's.
When we part, I have a feeling I'm being watched. I hear a stick crack, and Clara climbs out of a nearby tree. "What are you doing?" I whisper.
Laughing she says, "Spying on your boyfriend. I only found you a few seconds ago, so I didn't get to hear anything you said. Tell me everything."
I roll my eyes. "Well, for starters, he's not my boyfriend and I convinced him to help us. He's going to get his sister in too."
Her mouth dropped. She is speechless for once. "H-how? I got Shade and Chris in, but a Silver? How do we know we can trust him?"
I laugh. "Silvers can be trusted you know," I say as we walk around the house to the trees that grow beside our windows. No one know that better than me, considering Father was once the crowned prince of Norta, but gave it up to be with Mother. Clara sighs.
"I guess you're right. Are you busy tomorrow at dawn?"
"As a matter of fact, I am. I'm going to be sparring in the field at sunrise. You can come watch but you can't bring anyone with you."
"Whatever," she says with a mischievous smile and teleports me to my room because I'm still in my ball gown. When she leaves, I dress in my nightgown and slip under my sheets. I sleep with no disturbances. When I wake, the sky is still dark. I smile. Today is going to be a good day.
A/n I want to add more characters that will go to the Notch, but I'm the worst at names. Comment for suggestions of names, parents, and personalities and I'll add a few of them!
