"I have seven baby dragons here that they don't know about, and no one in this room is going to tell them, unless they want me to be really sad."
Kicking the door open I struggle to drag my trunk into the room through the solid oak door. Finally managing, I dropped my trunk in the middle of them room and turned to face the rest of the room. I was quickly greeted by three other faces peering back at me.
"Thanks for the help." I breathe out sarcastically running my hand through my hair. I look back to my trunk to the only empty bed, luckily closest to the door so I don't have to haul it much further to the bed. I quickly study the room around me, I knew this was supposed to be a big manor but I wasn't exactly expecting this. A giant window with bookshelves on either side of it. Four big princess beds, all queen sized with royal blue linens.
"So what are you?" The girl who had the bed directly across from me asked. I looked at her a moment, she had shoulder length black hair and black eyes, wearing a black leggings, studded boots, and a white tank top.
"Sasha! That is rude." The girl sitting on the bed next to me exclaimed. She had short, surprisingly pretty, leaf green hair, big blue doe eyes, a tiny nose and rosy red lips with a natural pink tint. Her stature overall was very small but she was adorable especially wearing the maroon knitted sweater that was much too big on her.
"Sorry Ruby but I want to know what else we are living with." Ruby went to protest the greeting I got from Sasha when I interrupted.
"It's fine, I'd want to know as well. I'm a witch. Do you mind me asking what about you guys?" I ask delicately hoping not to offend anyone. I'm new to this whole world and I can't control my powers as well as some of the others here. I get on the wrong side of anyone and I would be roasted. Literally. Like a chicken!
"See Ruby, it's fine." Sasha turned to me, "I'm Sasha Sahara, yes from the telekinetics. You've probably heard of my family."
"By the looks of it she hasn't heard a single thing about your family." Ruby quipped being quite observant and very correct. Sasha stared at me for a moment and when I nodded she shrugged and went on.
"Well, you will soon. We are kind of a big deal. That is Ruby, her mom is a sprite and her dad is an empath. Do you know what those are?" She asked and I shook my head 'no'. I had heard of sprites though I didn't know what exactly it was and I had never heard of an empath. Sasha huffed out an annoyed sigh.
"Sprites come from the fairy family. We handle the elements and can bend them at our will. Our hair represents our element. Mine is Earth clearly. All Earth sprites are named after gems. My dad is an Empath, they reflect other people's emotions. We can feel what other people are feeling, but we can also put emotions on people but only if we are feeling them. So when I'm happy I can make everyone happy. When I'm sad everyone is sad. So on and so on." Ruby explained quickly while bouncing. I sat there trying to clinging to her every word that was coming out of her mouth in hopes to learn and absorb as much knowledge as I could before school started. Sasha nodded and continued. Next she pointed to a girl wearing a strapless crop top and a flowy skirt that went to her knees. She had long blue hair down to her tailbone with white daisies scattered throughout and on top of her head a flower crown, big green eyes and bare feet. She truly was beautiful but I had absolutely no idea what she could be.
"Finally, that is Cassiopeia, she is a pure blood nymph which is very rare." Cassiopeia looked up from her book and herbs long enough to smile and send me a small wave. I looked at Ruby with a questioning look.
"Sorry, but what is a Nymph?" I ask quietly.
"Basically the same thing as a sprite." Sasha said brushing off the comment. Both Ruby's and Cassiopeia's heads snap up and toward her.
