Okay so um I've been in a place where I didn't have a laptop to work on and so that's why it's taken me so long to update so sorry about that, but also I've had major writer's block for this chapter so I apologize if it's absolute crap :)
As Thalia climbed into her tent, a million thoughts rushed through her mind. But mostly, the moment that happened a mere few seconds before, was on repeat. She thought about how close they were. About how she could smell her faint, sweet scent. And about how their eyes met for slender seconds, and sparked when they did. It was as though she could still feel the small amount of air between them, air heated with something they both wanted, but were both too nervous to reach for. As she tucked herself under her covers, she thought about what this might turn into. She couldn't help but smile when thinking about Reyna's eyes. She closed her eyes to sleep, with Reyna's face pictured in her mind. With a happy sigh, she drifted off.
In her dreams, Thalia dreamt of what would've happened that night if she had had the courage. She dreamt of Reyna's lips pressed against her own. Gentle fingers against her scalp as she ran her hands through her hair. Breathless breaks, mere seconds.
Then she woke up.
She looked around her tent, slightly confused. Just moments before, she had felt another body pressed against her own. She had felt the tingle of gentle lips locking together. It was so real...but it wasn't. She realized that it had been just a dream and sighed sadly. She desperately wished that that had been real, but unfortunately, her wish was not true, and she knew it probably would never come true. She got dressed in her black ripped jeans, black converse, a black tank top, and a green aviator jacket and went outside to make some breakfast. When she went to get her cooking utensils, she noticed Reyna sitting there, breakfast already made. Her mouth dropped open. "Wha...?" She asked, confused. "W-what is this?" She asked Reyna. Reyna smiled widely. "It's breakfast." she said. "Well yes, I know that." Thalia said. "But why did you do it? Why...why would you do this for me?" She asked, still in complete and utter confusion. Reyna sighed. "Well, I still feel awful about yesterday, and I figured you could use a break from making your food and just relax and enjoy it." She said. Thalia went and sat next to her. "Thank you," she said softly. "no one has ever done anything like this for me before." Reyna shrugged. "It's nothing, really." She smiled at Thalia. That smile. The smile that she felt against her lips in her dream. She blinked herself out of her momentary daze. "Well it's certainly something to me." She said with a slight smile. Reyna smiled. "Well good." She dished Thalia up some food and handed it to her. The first thing Thalia did was smell the food. She took in the warm scent with her eye closed and a smile plastered across her face. "It smells amazing." she smiled and took a bite. "Holy crap." She said with her mouth full. "It tastes amazing too." She swallowed. Reyna chuckled. "I'm glad you think so." Thalia smiled brightly at her and continued to eat her delicious food.
Well that was an absolute train wreck. Promise the next chapter will be better. It'll hopefully be posted within the next 24 hours :)
