Ellie

"Ellie have we got anymore carrot cake?" Helen one of my employees shouted through the little window
"Coming right up" I shouted back.

Only 20 more minutes until we close thank god it's been a busy day.
"Ellie.. there's someone here to see you" Helen came through to my office. I sighed what now.
"Send them in Helen" I told her

In walks this woman in beautiful shoes and a cream dress.
"Miss fox I'm Stacey freemantle I work for the perecmen firm. I'm here on behalf of your ex husband.." my stomach dropped.
"Miss freemantle, my husband and I have been divorced for 6 months there isn't possibly anything you can do" I sat up straight trying to assert some sort of dominance

"I'm here to tell you that your husband is suing you for half of your company"
I stared at her in disbelief
"Your joking?" I almost laughed at her she shook her head "I'm afraid not Miss Fox I will see you in court" with that she handed me the paperwork and left.

now I need a lawyer. Now I'd normally call my dad. But he has moved back to the Uk so it's not as easy. I find myself letting a few tears slip out of my eyes.

"Ellie I'm going now see you tomorrow!" Helen shouted I wiped my eyes and put a smile on my face. I can't let anyone see my emotions right now.

"Bye Helen, hey take tomorrow off! Spend some time with those beautiful children of yours!" I hug her as she leaves with a great big smile and a thank you she leaves.

It's about 10:30pm now. And I'm sat in the restaurant I spent 2 years building this company..
