"Are you nervous? I'm nervous.." Ellie whispered we are sat in the doctors office waiting to be called in by a nurse. Looking around there's a load of other ladies here, some heavily pregnant some not so much, some on their own and some with someone else. Ellie just sat there squeezing my hand whenever she felt nervous.
"It's going to be okay, stop panicking" I told her giving her a side hug. She just nodded and calmed down.
All these thoughts are running through my head, I'm actually quite excited.
I noticed Ellie kept her hand on her stomach, she laid her head on my shoulder I could practically feel her heart beat.
"Miss Fox?" Ellie's head shot up and just nodded, I stood up offering her my hand and helping her stand, we walked together into the room.
After about 20 minuets of questions they brought a Machine in Ellie was told to lay on the bed and roll her top up, I went and stood with her she had a tight grip on my hand.
The woman squeezed some jelly on her stomach and placed a thing on her stomach moving it about I noticed Ellie trying not to laugh but she couldn't hold it in
"Sorry I'm ticklish" she blushed
"Well Miss Fox, Mr Specter by the looks of it your about 16 weeks pregnant everything looks perfect" the doctor spoke and turned the screen around and we saw it. Our little baby. Ellie had tears rolling down her face with a big smile, I went to take my jacket off and snapped a quick picture of Ellie staring at the screen and put baby on the screen.
"Ok I'm going to listen to the heart beat now" the dr turned the sound on and you could hear the fast but steady beat I couldn't believe what was happening.
I can't explain the feelings that are coursing through me. It's magical and amazing and I couldn't be happier.
"Ok I'm going to print off some pictures and you can get yourself all cleaned up" the dr told Ellie and got up and walked out the room the picture of the baby still on the screen she didn't move just laid there
"That's our baby" she whispered I couldn't help but smile.
"That's our baby" I repeated
"I love you harvey" the tears started again. I wiped her tears
"And I love you Ellie" I kissed her then helped her to sit up, she wiped the jelly off her stomach just as the doctor came in with our photos.
After a few more dos and dont's we were off, Ellie just sat staring at the picture of our child
