You sit down with Chelse and start talking with some of the girls from your basketball team about Friday's game.

"You gotta talk to coach about the game" Aubrey said to Chelse.

"Yeah, you are like our best player, we cant win without you" said Bella.

"We've lost to this team every time we play" Gabbie said. "We cant risk loosing you and then not being able to make it to the finals".

"I know, I know" said Chelse. "I've talked with my teacher about it and he said that school comes first. I can't graduate if I don't deliver this project on time." She put her head in her hand.

You put your hand on her back and said, "don't worry, everything will be sorted out, I'm sure of it." Chelse looked up at you and smiled.

Your day was pretty lousy. First, you had math, then science, then English, French, then social studies and then you ended with art. You didn't learn anything new, besides learning that you're pretty bad the quadratic formula.

When the school day was over, you rushed to the girls locker room to get ready. You were falling behind a bit and needed to be on the court in about five minutes, or else.

You put on spandex, your Jersey (new) , tie your hair into a ponytail and put on your sneakers. You ran out the door and almost ran into none other than Mr. Marais.

You just missed him barely and noticed that he had a cast on his leg and was using crutches.

You run onto the court and start practicing with the girls.

Practice was pretty simple and boring too that day. You made passes, shot hoops, dodged a few balls thrown by Vic, and ended up with only one knee burn from falling on the floor.

We had about a half hour left of practice, but your coach called you over. She told you that your history teacher was looking for you. Apparently, you had forgotten that you needed to make up a test that day.

You run up  to his room, since it was on the third floor, you were a little out of breath, sat down, and start taking the test.

It was pretty easy, and you were almost finished when Jonah walked into the room. You blushed extremely hard and hid your face a little so he wouldn't notice.

"Uh, I'm here to pick up my project" he says motioning to the side of the room where there are a bunch of works made out of paper mache.

He picked up the one that was a model of a little town made from clay and struggled to get back onto his crutches.

"Do you need any help? Is your mom with you?" Asked my teacher.

"Uh no" said Jonah.

"Y/n, are you almost done?"

You perk up a bit and nod. You stand and hand him your test.

"I can help you out" you say more confident than you thought you were gonna be.

Jonah hands you his project and you two start walking out the door and to the elevator.

You guys waited in silence inside the elevator until you spoke up.

"How'd you break it?" You ask not looking at him.

"I fell" he said shrugging.

"Is that it?" You say with a sigh. "You just...fell?"

"Well, yeah" he said back.

"Give me a story" you say playfully.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"I mean, I get it of you don't want to tell me. I mean, we don't even know each other. Like, if you said you broke it because you were sitting on the toilet too long watching porn and then your leg fell asleep, I don't know what I'd do with that information"

Jonah laughed and put his head down a bit. You could tell he was smiling.

"Alright" he said chuckling. "I was out playing lacrosse and I was running and I tripped over some wire in my backyard and I fell into the mud in a really weird way."

"Oh okay, so, to be clear, you weren't watching porn" you say playfully.

Jonah smiles.

"No. No I was not watching porn."

When you guys finically got off the elevator, you started walking towards his car.

"What test were you taking in Mr.Briggs? Doesn't he teach Juniors and Seniors only?" Jonah asks.

"You know I'm softmore?" You ask blushing.

"I mean, uh, Ive seen you around and I uh, noticed you from the yearbook last year."

"Well. I'm in AP history, it's honestly my favorite subject".

"You like learning about dates and dead guys huh?" He said.

"Oh yeah, dates and dead guys get me fucking rolling" you say.

Jonah smirks.

"You're different than a lot of girls I meet" he says.

"How so?" You ask screaming on the inside.

"You're like, upfront and really sure of yourself".

"You think so?" You ask again.

"Oh yeah" he said. "Every fucking girl in this school just like, laughs at everything and like, twirls their hair and just act like...like...not a functioning person. If that makes sense".

You nod slowly. "I think it does."

You both reach his car and you put his stuff in the backseat.

"You can drive with that thing?" You ask.

"Well, I drive with my right foot, and my left foot is the one that's broken."

"Aw, I see" you say. "You don't have any signatures."

"Oh, yeah" he said shrugging.

"Let me fix that" you say smiling. You take a sharpie from his backpack and sign not only your name but your phone number too.

"Will I see you around" he asked as you helped him into his car.

"I hope so" you say.

You watch him leave the parking lot and take off down the road. You could not believe what had just happened. That was officially the best day of your life.

Your head was spinning when you got back inside. You couldn't really focus for the last ten or so minutes of practice.

"Hey, you wanna go to blue anchors?" Asked Chelse. Blue anchors was the coffee shop near by.

"Uh, yeah, sure" you said a little dazed.

"Hey, you alright?" Aubrey asked.

"Never better" you say with a smile on your face.
