Time Skip *** Halloween Costume Contest 

You and Jonah had been working for the past two weeks extremely hard on your costume for the contest tomorrow (Friday). There were a lot of other people in the competition, including some of the girls from the Field hockey team, your friends Sarah and Bruno had gotten back together so they where entering as well. You hanging out with the boys brought Chelse and Daniel together so even they were participating. 

It was around eight thirty and you had just woken up from a nap. You felt Zach's arms still around you so you shook him awake as well. 

You and Zach have been together since your ice cream date after your winning game last week. You guys hadn't confirmed your relationship and haven't really put a label on what you were to each other, but you guys did most things that couples did. For example, you went on cute dates, made out, watched movies and sometimes even slept over each other's houses. You guys have tried to sit down and figure things out but then again, you guys have only been a 'thing' for a little less than a week. 

Zach wakes up and kisses you on the forehead. You guys lay there for a while until his mom picked him up. That was another thing. If you guys became an item, that would mean that your parents probably wouldn't let you guys hang out over each other's houses alone. They only thought you were just friends. 

Throughout all of this, you had come to terms with having to get over Jonah. You realized that you probably were never gonna get together. Especially now that you have Zach in your life. You were focusing on bigger and better things than having a little crush that was never going to amount to anything. 

After Zach left, you went to bed. The next day, you woke up and got all of your stuff together for the contest. When you and Chelse and Daniel got to school (Chelse and Daniel have started to carpool with you), you met up with Jonah and you all went into the gym to see everybody else who was participating. 

"Hey Jonah?" You say. "How's Vic doing...you know...with us doing a 'couples costume' and all". Jonah shrugged and said,  "she was pretty upset at first but only because she wanted to do it with me." 

You didn't ask anything else because you didn't want to make anything into something it wasn't. You remember him mentioning the competition to you but you guys hadn't discussed wether or not you were going to do it. But, when Victoria asked Jonah if he wanted to, he completely shut her down and told her that you were doing it together. 

When the first bell rang, you and Jonah went into the bathroom and got changed. you both secretly went into the gender neutral bathroom together so you both could fix each other's costumes. 

You guys decided to be season one Lilly and Marshel. Jonah flattened his hair, put on a big oversized brown sweater, black cargo pants and old nike sneakers. You put on a short reddish orange wig, a long rainbow striped shirt, skin tight skinny jeans, and short brown heels. You did your makeup how Lilly did it, making your lips just a tad smaller. You also did Jonahs makeup, making him look older. All in all, it looked really good. 

The prize for winning the contest was pretty big. It was a one thousand dollar cash prize. You both agreed, that if you won, you would split the money so you would both get five hundred dollars. 

The contest was during the entire school day, since it was a half day. When people started to get called down into the gym, you and Jonah decided to go down as well. How the contest worked was that everyone would stand up at the front and show off their costumes. Then, everyone in school would go back to their classes and vote on this orange slip of paper that had all of the costumes on it. 

You guys didnt really have your hopes up, you just wanted to do it for fun. 

When it was your turn to present your costume, you were a little nervous. As you looked into the crowd, you saw Zach, Corbyn and Jack. Zach gave you a little wave and suddenly, you felt better.
