Chapter Thirty Six

Shraddha's POV

"Shraddha I'm pregnant." Alia says.

"Really?" I ask.

She nods.

"Congrats my Alu Parotha!" I hug my baby sister tightly but soon let go remembering Kriti.

"Keep it between me and you for now okay?" I say.

"I feel bad Di!"

"It's not your fault that Kriti's in such a situation. Just let her come back from the surgery." I say. "Does Varun know?"

"Not yet..."

"How much did she buy? I shouldn't give her my credit card!" Sidharth exclaims coming into kitchen. "Oh shi..."

I glare at him. I have no time to argue and see Alia's breakfast hardly touched. "I wanna see this plate empty by the time I come back."

"I don't wanna eat!" She whines.

"Not for yourself but for your b-" I notice Sidharth pouring juice in a glass. "For your big sister."

"Alia you better listen to her!"

She sighs and eats. I walk past Sidharth and take his glass as he goes to get it.

"What the-"

I take a few sips and give him the glass back empty.

"Can I have my card back?" He asks.

"Hmm no!"

"Alia please tell your sister something!" He says and she laughs.

"Your wife you deal with it."

I see Kriti and Sushant about to leave, "I'll be back, I'm just going with Kriti." I say and leave.

We go to the surgery....

"Kriti I'm afraid there's not much we can do your case is too complicated." The doctor says.

"So that's it. There's no other way I can have kids?" She says with tears falling down her cheeks continuously.

"There is one way which is surrogacy. Someone else will just carry your child for you. If you find someone you trust and they're willing to help you out you should go for it."

Kriti and Sushant share a look. "We'll think about it." Sushant says.

We the head home. Kriti doesn't utter a single word.

We go in the living room to see Riya sitting with Rishi playing with Lego. Wow am I dreaming?! Or are my kids actually getting along for once?!

"See Mum I'm not annoying Riya." Rishi says.

She puts her hands out to me, I pick her up. "Is that true?"

She nods.

"Shiv will never have a strong sibling bond like that." Kriti cries and goes upstairs.

Seeing my sister like that breaks my heart. I can't let her stay upset like this.

Alia's POV

I pace back and forward in my room, soon Di walks in with Riya.

"What did the doctor say?" I ask.

She then explains. "It's gonna be hard to find someone." I say.

"No it's not. I'm willing to do it. If it makes Kriti happy then why not? My sisters happiness means the world to me!" She says.

"What will Sidharth say?" I ask.

"He's not going to say no. And it's my choice. My sisters come before anything!"

"And your happiness means the world to us!" I hug her.

I decide to keep the news quiet for now until Kriti's okay.

Sidharth's POV

"Varun we need to get rid of her at any cost!" I fury.

"I just think you should still tell Shraddha."

Should I? But she'll go crazy.

"Just do it Varun!"

"Do what?" I jump hearing my wife's voice.

Varun leaves the room.

"I asked you something?" She says putting her keys away.

"Make Kaira take after school clubs." I say.

"She's just started school! There's still time for that!" She replies.

"Yeah I guess..."

"Rishi and Riya were bonding! Can you believe that? They weren't fighting for once." She says surprised.

"Wow! Rishi must really want his trainers."

She rolls her eyes. "Anyway I need to talk to you about something." She says sitting opposite me.

I put a strand of hair behind her ear. "Go on."

Varun's POV

I walk in my room to see Kaira asleep in Alia's lap. I kiss her and sit beside Alia. "Are you feeling any better?"

"Yeah...Varun keep this between us but I'm pregnant."

"Really?" I ask shocked.

She nods.

I hug her. "Congratulations baby."

"Congratulations to you too! But only Shraddha knows and I wanna keep it quiet for now...." I explain the situation.

"Don't worry I know you don't wanna upset Kriti." He says which is why I love him so much.

Kriti's POV

I call Mum and explain everything.

"Oh my baby! Don't worry if you can take the surrogacy option you should."

"What if I can't find someone! And I wanna carry my own baby Mum!" I state.

"Kriti everything happens for a reason. Something good will come out of this maybe a treatment you can go through. I know some specialists I'll talk to them okay."

"Mum I need you!" I cry.

"I know you do, I'll try come as soon as I can till then stay with Shraddha okay?" She says.

I agree. After the phone call ends I walk to her room. As I'm about to walk in I hear her and Sidharth talk.

"Sidharth I'll carry Kriti's baby for her. I can't see her upset like this." She says. "And now Alia's pregnant."

"And I'm not gonna stop you. Do what's best." He hugs her.

"I'll go talk to her now."

She opens the door to face me.

"Kriti...."

What is Sidharth hiding? Will Kriti let Shraddha carry her baby?
